Hello, its my first post here !

I been looking at this forum for about a month now, snus really caught my eye after a news item on some american site about the new camel snus, so i started looking around the internet for what snus was and i found here.... anyway i gave up smoking roll ups it been 3 months without a cig :P but i missed that great feeling that nicotine gives you, so i bought a e-cig hoping that would slove my problems but that failed badly, so i kept following this site and decided to order off Northerner... i got to the checkout with 5 cans of general and 5 cans of mini general... not a big order (just dipping my toe in the water to see if i like it).... when i was just really to complete my order when i noticed the overall price had shot up because of the silly 25% Eu tax, so i cancelled since it made the products near the same price of rolling tobacco in the uk, is there any site that ships to the uk that does not have the eu tax on it ? like an american site that sells snus or just american snus ?

I don't think you're going to find any options that are significantly cheaper. Keep in mind that snus last longer per $(£) than smoking tobacco does. In addition to that, it's better for your health. You may not save a ton of money, but overall you're generally better off with snus.

You haven't got a lot of 'snus' there.
If you're trying your hand at snus for the first time I might warn you that minis might be a little disappointing. The 8mg regular portions are too weak for me.
It's well worth getting a mixed tryout portion box.

Hmmm, okies will take note and wont expect too much from them.

What do you use on a regular basis ?

I never had problems with regular snus. Extra starks are a recent phenomenon; they weren't even around when I started with snus. As long as you aren't chasing a buzz, regular portions and lös will be fine.

Hi Rottenstain.

Me, I'd say try General, Ettan, and Grov. Whether to try lös, portions or both is up to you, but I'd say both. If there are particular things like licorice or mint that you like, try some of that, although it might not be what you expect right off the bat.

Ettan and Grov are both very basic snus, but it seems sometimes people who don't like one might like the other. General is often called "plain" snus, but is flavored with bergamot, and it's a style that's widely copied, to the point that it qualifies as a very standard snus.

I got my mint mini today, i do like them alot apart from they are weak, but i needed to have them in stock for situations that i need to be discreet !

What do you guys prefer out of white or moist snus ?

Welcome to Snuson. I prefer White. LD and Camel White are really good. General is another one I could use all day.

I prefer lös :^P Out of the 2 portion styles I much prefer moist. You should try them yourself though. Everybody's different, and it's hard to say what you'll like until you try it.

yeah i have like 4 opened cans of starks and am now realizing i dont like them. for whatever reason when i was starting out they were like the only things i was excited to try, because there was so much forum buzz about N&J and claq qui. but they are not for me, and i feel like the non stark users arent well represented here. i am wary though that now that ive finally committed to not using them, i will find that i like them...

I have tried Thunder Frosted, but not the minis, but those might be worth a try. A lot of people like them and they are stronger than the mint minis. They won't be as sweet.

Taboca makes some strong minis too.

I'm still too new to really know what I prefer, but right now I guess I slightly prefer lös, followed closely by regular portions, followed by whites; but it depends on the snus. I like them all, and it would suck for me if I could only have one or the other.
