Are there any chain stores that sell Swedish snus? Looking for a local source rather than the internet.

snus in stores
Whenever I go into a mini store I give an empty snus can to the owner and ask him or her if they can order this. They usually tell you that they will try and hopefully at least one store will be able to get it among the many that I asked. You have to keep empty cans with you because you will get a strange look if you ask for General snus and a "never heard of it" as your reply. I am also going to build up a small supply of snus, maybe a few months worth, and if PACT passes it might just be time to slowly cut back on the portions and then quit altogether. I have switched from the regular portions to the mini portions without too much of a hassle other than a slight headache which eventually went away. I still use the regular portions for long road trips and certain social situations but 90% of the time a mini works out nicely. The only catch is with the minis you pay the same amount for less tobacco which really sucks!

It's the chicken egg scenario.
Convenience stores aren't interested in stocking something that they only sell 5 a week of.
PACT will create a demand for the product that isn't there right now at retail.
Our local Tobacco Depot is bad, I spent some time educating the workers there. The owner acted interested but the other two could have cared less about something called snus.
BTW flashing a can of MonteCristo snus does work wonders in a tobacco store.

rkh3, first, let me do what none of these other cretins has done and say welcome to Snuson
Don't stress about the PACT act. First, we don't know if it will pass, Second, even if it does, I fully expect that we will still be able to get whatever snus we want, will just be more expensive and a bit of a bigger pain, start payung whatever your local taxes are, make sure you are available to sign for it, or have to go pick it up.
But lastly, if shipping snus DOES become simply not possible, Swedish Match has been preparing for other options. But we won't see those options until AFTER this is a done deal.
So for now, cross your fingers. But don't stress about what will happen if the very bad act does pass. Your snus isn't gonna go nowhere. Swedish Match is just making too much money now in it's American sales of snus. They won't let it go.
See below for the comments by the Swedish Match reprsentatives to questions about the PACT act.

I'm just trying to keep folks from getting too stressed out about what we can't control. None of this is good, but the panic that somehow, we won't ever be able to get our snus again is just misplaced. Go read Swedish Match's latest quarterly results, see just how much money they are making from selling snus in the states. we represent a 20% increase in their income this past year, we are their fastest growing market. Snus is NOT gonna just disappear.
