    Order sent twice

So last Friday, I placed an order with BuySnus. I didn't receive a shipping confirmation so I e-mailed BuySnus on Monday to ask about it. They e-mailed me back on Tuesday to let me know that the Swedish Post was not open on Saturdays and that I should receive a shipping confirmation shortly.

I received a shipping confirmation on Tuesday and my snus arrived a Thursday. I was thoroughly confused on how it got there so quick. But today, it all came together. My order came again in the mail today. I was only charged once but I received the same order twice.

Has this happened with anyone else? I feel guilty about it and that I should mention something. But, I also don't want to risk getting charged twice for something I only ordered once.

    Any suggestions?

Yes, email Buysnus. I know they are just gonna tell you it was there mistake and keep it. But still, you should let them know.

      Definitely let them know.

      Good will works both ways.

If that happened to me, I would contact Buysnus or whomever...I would be surprised if they asked for one of the orders back and this way if YOU contact them rather than wait and see if they catch it, you shouldn't be charged twice. Honesty normally pays off in the end for me, plus, your conscience will be clear!

I agree that you should let them know, and if you don't mind, what was the order?

Ok. I did e-mail them so we will see what happens.

I don't know how much you guys normally order at a time but it was an $80 order and, for me, that is a lot of product to accidentally send out twice.

My conscience is clear now and now I just wait to see what they say.

Anyone know what their hours of operations are? Or do they answer e-mails 24/7?

I'm glad to know that there are other honest people out there :-)

I have participated in three different types of tobacco forums, and almost all folks I find are honest, just another thing that makes my tobacco hobby so special to me.

I know Buysnus won't answer on the weekend. Don't stress it, ball in their court.

BTW, I have ordered $199 worth of snus before, and most of my orders are about $130 - $1650 this past year.

                Civ,

Glad to see you did the right thing. To put your mind at ease, they CANNOT charge you for the second order. It is illegal (mail fraud- federal offence) to send someone something in the mail unsolicited and then bill them for it.

In all likelihood, they will probably comp it to you. They may send you a postage paid UPS label and ask you to return it. They may offer it to you at a discount.

But they cannot nor will they want to penalize you for their mistake. Expect them to be very gracious.

                Regardless, well done

                .

Well, the moment of truth is in. Here is the e-mail I just received from BuySnus about my duplicate shipment:

"There's mistake from our side that we sent you your order tiwce. You can keep the snus as a "reward" since you were so honest and told us about this!

Thank yuo for shopping with us!"

I feel much better now because I was honest and especially since I got 40 cans of snus for the price of 20 (plus my two free cans and two Skruf money clips)!!! Oh, that's another thing. I really wanted the Skruf money clip but I didn't order the required 15 cans of Skruf. In the order process, it allows you to type in any special requests or suggestions and I simply asked, "I understand that I didn't order the required cans of Skruf but would it be possible to still get the money clip?" Sure enough when I got my order, the money clip and the free can of snus was enclosed :-) How nice!

One more question: Is anyone else plagued/gifted with this problem/virtue of having a huge conscience? (I can't figure out if it is a completely good thing or bad thing if you can't tell)

I feel guilty about the littlest things and, as a result, am extremely honest. To be honest, I even felt guilty about receiving the free money clip since I didn't order 15 cans of Skruf! I couldn't lie if I wanted to and, even if I did, I would feel horrible and probably couldn't sleep at night. Am I weird or just normal???

                  Thanks for the advice, guys!

Good for you for being honest, and good for them for sending you the clip(s). As far as their response, they goofed, and so probably they did what they would have done anyway; still, it costs them nothing extra to make you feel good for doing a good thing. It might even increase your loyalty as a customer.

The only real "problem" I can see with that trait would be when ppl who might be less scrupulous than you discover this about you, and somehow use your tendency toward guilt feelings to gain at your expense. There is nothing at all wrong with being honest. It's important, though, to remember that not all with whom you deal have your impeccable conscience. "Be wise as serpents, and innocent as doves," it says somewhere. Keep your cards close to your vest, even about your own honesty.

Buysnus sent one of my orders wrong a few months ago... I ordered a roll of Roda Lacket Loose (the happy play-doh stuff) that they inadvertantly mis-shipped as portions somewhere along the way. When I got it I sent them an email describing the mixup, to which they quickly and graciously apologized and sent me a corrected shipment that arrived within days. On top of that, they told me to just keep the portions.

I was not a portion fan (and these were WHITE portions, no less), but I stuck them in the freezer with everything else. Over time, I tried a few, and came to realize they weren't all that bad.

I was a hard-core looser before, but now it seems like all I ever buy is portions, and buysnus.com has had all my business ever since. They are awesome.

The weird thing is that a few days before it even arrived, I had a panicked dream about that order having a missing item. How odd is that? Who dreams about online snus orders anyway?

Never piss off the Karma Gods. Ever.

Calling was the right thing. Of coarse they were gonna tell you to keep the "food products". 8)
