I wouldn't worry about it yet. It looked like a fairly common problem when I googled it and my guess is you will still get your package without any issues. Just curious, UPS is about 5 times the price as Swiss Post. What kind of snus did you get? It must be some good stuff!

Hmm. They say you get what you pay for. In this case it looks like you paid for a whole lot of extra trouble. Sorry about that, man.

Has anyone using UPS ever been taxed by customs or is that just a rumor?
Rare, but has happened here. More common, you will be charged a seperate "customs brokerage" fee by UPS after you get your order.

There has NEVER been a reported customs issue here using USPS. And I have bought $199.65 worth of snus before.

So it is not a rumor, will never, ever use UPS to order from Sweden. Hell, won't use them to order from the US and will only buy my pipe tobacco from the few etalors that still use USPS.

Never, ever use UPS for anything if you can help it. They're the worst delivery service available. You'd do better putting a package on the back of a donkey with instructions telling people to point it in the right direction when they find it :^D

                  I beg to differ.

Northerner may be having some problems lately. I just today got the 5-can order I placed on Nov. 12. It was supposed to ship from the US warehouse but the package I got today was from Belgium ?!

Just placed my 2nd but largest as of yet order with Northerner. My first one I believe took 1 week from Swedish warehouse. I just use that cheaper "swiss post" or whatever. I will keep you posted as to how this works out as this will all ship out of the Swedish warehouse.

The problem with using UPS is, they act as the import/export broker and often you get a nice little bill for their brokerage fee after the fact. It's one of those tacked on fees that you don't know about upfront.

When you use Swiss Post/USPS you act as your own import/export broker so you don't get any extra bills a week or two after your shipment arrives.

She can show up with my package a year later and I would still be allright!

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.
