Local Snus USA

Today I went to buy a tin of snus locally while I wait for my next order. I drove 20 minutes out of my way to get some, and I was excited to get some snus.

$10.48 USD for one tin of general white in Florida. I remember when they were 4 bucks. I spoke with the cashier and she said people stopped buying it when it got so expensive, now nobody buys it.

I bought it because I was there, and got a super fresh tin fresh off the roll…but never again. That was crazy.

How is this supposed to compete with American nicotine pouches? Why are there no digital coupons? Last time I got a coupon it was a dollar off. Who is the target market? If I was coming from dip at this time with these prices, I would keep dipping. It’s comparable/cheaper than premium cigarettes here, but those people are buying cheap vapes and non tobacco pouches.

What are local General tins going for in your area in 2024 and is anyone buying them?

I found another store that sells General and I’m going to see how much they charge for tins. This place is right near the Air Force base, actually closer to my house, and the last time I went there (to buy dip when that was still a thing for me) had all sorts of deals on tobacco. It’s still the opposite direction I drive on the regular…but maybe they’ll be clearing out some General Mint.

Swung by this weekend…super expensive yet again. So sad. I miss local general los ant a reasonable price…and I don’t even like General los…but I’d buy a can locally every couple of weeks when they sold it here.
