    Ugg Northerner!!!

    I ordered a can of OR Choc/Rasp with my 4 cans of OR C/V on the 12th, well yesterday I FINALLY got my choc/rasp and the can was busted on one side. The portions on that side were all dried out. I was so mad. I sent and email from their website and it was pretty nasty. I told them that was ridiculous and they should send me another can packaged differently so it wouldn't bust. They said they would, but here is to another 23 days of waiting on non-dried out snus!

    Not to mention the worry of the beloved C/V being the same way!

    Seems they usually offer to resend. Crap happens in the mail at times. I got a DVD yesterday, and the case hub was broke and the dvd was loose in the case, and skuffed up. It wasn't terrible, and looks like it will still play, but once something is sent in the mail, there is a chance of damage.

    Try rehydrating them, a few ideas have been expressed.

      I put them in a sandwich bag and spritz them with water. Then let them sit over night. They seem ok today. I found an old can and put them in there. I just put a re-hydrated portion in so we will see how it turns out flavor wise.

      I was just upset that they put my first order in a small box and sent this one can in an envelope. It wasn't even a bubble envelope.

        the shipping service from them is really crappy, i live in europe so it's no reason for being delayed (two orders from 16TH and 17h and they havent still arrived...will they?)

        I'll never shop from the again thats for sure, swiss post its a crap

          To be fair northerner is usually great about handling any problems, though I agree the swiss post or whoever else handles it along the way could be better. I'm sure frank will take care of it, but maybe just another reason to try to get more flavors/brands in the US warehouse.

            Yikes, a nasty message? I've found that's not necessary with any of the online snus shops...just a simple "hey, there was a problem with my order" email explaining what's wrong has always gotten things taken care of immediately no matter what the problem was.

            A damaged can would seem like more of a problem with the shipper than the supplier, but even then they're still willing to resend or somehow make things right. Seems like they even go beyond what you'd expect them to do. I don't order from Northerner much because they are slower than the other places, but the one problem I did have was taken care of immediately.

              Since it wasn't from my email I can't copy and paste what I wrote. I didn't cuss them out or anything, I just said that I expected the product to be in tip top shape coming from such a large supplier and that I wanted the product to be replaced or I would consider taking my business elsewhere. I guess the nasty part was taking my business elsewhere. I hate saying that, but honestly I was mad because the first shipment was in a nice safe box and this was in an envelope that wasn't even padded. That is asking for damage, IMO.

                  Someone once sent me an Ozona snuff, is a standard letter envelope... well, I got the envelope.

                  When Northerner sent me my Onyx, if I recall, it was a small padded envelope.

                        There is no reason to use Swiss Post when Fedex is a couple of Euros more and you get guaranteed delivery in three days (in Europe) or overnight UPS. I've never had a single issue with orders coming from Northerner but then again I always use Fedex for large orders and UPS for smaller orders.

                        I do find it a bit baffling that people are blaming Northerner for slow post. Once it leaves their offices it is out of their hands. Fact.

                        Also, you can't blame Northerner for the damage to the can. I don't order V2 but I believe their cans are plastic. To break a plastic can is pretty hard and someone at the post office must have dropped something pretty heavy on the can to break it. I don't think bubble packaging would have made any difference.

                          The Fedex 3 day delivery price for the role I ordered this week from Northerner was comparable to the price it would have been if Northerner were still using Swedish Post but with Fedex I get delivery guranteed in 3 days whereas with Swedish Post it would have varied between 4-5 days and Swiss Post 9-10 days. That's Sweden to UK figures anyway.

                            That is true, but I have ordered from Northerner in the past, most all V2 products and have never had this issue. Every other order was in a box or bubble envelope, not this one. Poor packing on their part, IMO. At any rate they said they would fix it. Every time I have ordered from Clubsnus it is in a box, which seems to me to be the best way to ship. We will see how SnusCentral ships, as that is the other merchant I have recently ordered from.

                              I live in EU and the Fedex 3 day shipping Northerner offer for EU deliveries is cheap and very efficient.

                              If you used standard swiss post it does take longer and your order was right across the christmas rush so all post is slower.

                              My advice if you are in the EU use the Fedex Int 3 day delivery service is efficient and you get a tracking number.
