I started thinking about this some more.

Population of California = 36 million
Population of Sweden = 9 million

Is there any reason Jonathon feels he has to cover the entire USA?
Why not be a regional webstore, everywhere west of the Rockies?
    (or just California even)

With USPS deliveries going the way of the dodo, he can offer faster deliveries serving the West Coast than companies can from Pennsylvannia.

and instead of being just a webstore, he could be a regional wholesale warehouse serving the West Coast (in addition to a regional webstore).

(just thinking out loud  )

I'm no sure he has the investment capitol to open a warehouse, from what I gather he's just kind of running it out of his garage right now. But your right, I think he should just stick to CA, I don't see how it could not be profiitable. Infact, I have half a mind to pick up his operation myself, the west coast is the worst when ordering from almost any other company, and with almost 40 million people, there has to be a market. I mean think about it, in the south people are okay with their dip, but in california dip is a taboo no no for all the yuppies around here, but at the same time CA has ever increasing laws against smoking. To find a place to legally smoke in CA is already difficult, there has to be a large amount of people here who if properly educated about how not harmfull snus is and how you don't have to spit etc, would use it. If we could get the redneck stigma out of the oral tobacco thing here in CA I think it would be huuuge. CA is it's own country and one of the richest (it's citizens anyways)

hearing about the closeout sale made me want to take advantage of it, though after perusing his wares, it turns out he still doesnt carry anything i use, and as of right now, not even any secondary choices that i *might* be interested in using. im not even seeing a single product i have the slightest interest in. not even general los. not even general portion! sorry to hear his business didnt work out but the selection is and has always been terrible. bummer dude, looks like snus peddling is a tough racket to get into.

I was going to buy some Granit mini's but they are $3.75 a can. Buysnus is $24.00 for a roll of 10 and the 6th roll is 1/2 price making it a little cheaper to buy from them. I also noticed that the last few cans I got from clubsnus were a bit close to the expiration date. I do want him to stay in bisuness but I think it is beyond that now. If sgregor opens a store, I will gladly buy from him. I love the idea of a snus store in California.

Just got my "Going out of Business" order from Jonathon. 3 rolls, 1 each General, Ettan and Grov, all OP. With shipping included it worked out to $2.74 a can.

              Not so bad

He did say he was gonna clear out his swag big time. The box included a calendar, watch cap, set of coasters and 2 Fridge Mates fer cryin' out loud!

              Good luck Jonathon!

Ok, so just curious. Since I started snus nearly a year ago I've read a million posts about refrigeration/freezing and worries about shipping in the summer due to heat while in transit. Anybody wonder about snus being stored in some guy's garage in California not to mention the stuff getting close to expiration? Just askin'

Just because it's in his garage doesn't mean it isn't refrigerated. I don't know how he stores his snus. As far as shipping goes... I always tried to get my snus sent in the winter, and I'd freeze it and use it through the summer months. I doubt it makes a huge difference, but since I had the option, that's what I did. There isn't much choice now. It's time to buy, weather be damned.

I could be wrong, but I doubt any webshop or manufacturer refrigerates snus. They likely just store their stock in air conditioned rooms. A garage in San Francisco is probably colder 98% of the time, including all summer.

If you check out the Facebook Clubsnus page, he has pictures of at least one very large snus refrigerator.

I suppose I'll revise my hypothesis to exclude clubsnus...

I got 2 rolls (both in fridgemates) with a coffee mug, coaster set, a general baseball hat, and a general beanie.
