    Pinging Northerner

You guys should consider bringing back your 24 tin try out box. That was my first introduction to Swedish snus, and is the absolute best for noobs imo. You gave a nice selection of styles, sizes and brands so people could get an idea of the full scope of Swedish snus. If you brought that back, it would be my standard recommendation for anyone wanting to give snus a try.

    Edit:
For those unfmiliar, this is what was included to the best of my memory. All portions, but if I were to do it now, I'd include 1 tin of los...

That was either slightly before my time or I may have thought 24 was too many, but that does look like a fun list to start with. I'm sure I would have gleefully gobbled up all that snus as a noob, but reading that list after a few years using, there are so many I'm sure I wouldn't be able to finish! I definitely agree that sampler boxes are the best way to start. It's how I did it, and I'll never forget how fun it was to receive that box and dive into all the flavors without even knowing what snus was at the time. Boxes give you a fair introduction to a variety of styles, some of which a new user or anyone for that matter would never try based on descriptions alone. In fact I'm tempted now to order another one for the nostalgia and also to get a random sampling of stuff I've still never tried -- based on descriptions and reviews. There are a lot of R.I.P. brands on that list lxskllr Seems like you started using right before a mass extinction. Unfortunately I seem to have started right after. I never got to try Diplomat, Metropol, Grov Maxi (what a shame), or the fabled N&J los. Never even heard of Roots... Was it good?

Roots was terribad :^D That's the brand from SnusAB who also made Grand Prix and Tourney over here. I'm glad to have tried them though, so I knew for myself. The price for the set was $54 if I remember right. You could afford to throw out some losers and still be ahead of the game. Hell, that's about the cost of a carton of cigarettes. If you're not willing to risk a week's worth of cigarettes for the chance to ditch them completely, you're not dedicated enough :^)

There should be some Thunder added there, and definitely lös.

I actually started with Thunder Frosted, grew sick of it and bought Thunder Berry. So far I'm liking the Thunder Berry but I'm sure I will grow sick of Thunder Berry too some day.

If the taxes wouldn't be so high, I would definitely buy the starter pack.

Oh yea, I'd definitely put some extra starks in there. There should be a little of everything. From the most traditional to the newest.
