    Northerner Bonus Items

    The choice of bonus items have depleted somewhat a couple of months ago and there's been no change.
    It's just a shame because they don't even do the Ettan hat any more. They had a Grovsnus bag on there which I would have snapped up but that disappeared very quickly indeed.
    The 100 club is great if you like Skruf, but if you don't you're pretty much screwed.

    I'm foretelling that Northerner may have an issue in the future. Given that I'm mister average customer and seeing that there has been nothing great on offer in the bonus section for quite some time - I'm accumulating quite a lot of points. Now bear in mind that I'm mister average - a lot of people must be experiencing the same situation. Therefore a lot of people must be building up a hell of a lot of bonus points. If Northerner eventually offer something that is desirable there's a lot of people going to be buying up a lot of freebies all at once. Maybe this won't be a problem for Northerner.

    Now I know that these issues have been brought up before but I feel this is an issue even more so now.
    I think they should bin the bonus points and offer a free tin now and again. What do you think?

    I really should not say much but here goes..................

    Frank and I are working on a new bonus point concept. It is very top secret...............so top secret that Frank dosen't even know about it yet.

    It works like this

    Bonus point value for every thing site wide
    For things that sell well, expect to pay a bit more in points
    slow sellers will be had at a deal

    There will also be a new shipping deal
    For .50 cents at check out you can have one pull at the Northerner online slot machine. Win and you get free shipping up to $50 (one in every 151 to play will win).

      Those are good ideas Dog. The slot machine could be problematic using a pay to pull system. That might run into gambling laws... If they really wanted to do that, they could sell a Northerner collectible business card for 50¢. Limit 1 card per order, and purchase of the card allows you to use their slot machine free 1 time. That way you're not paying to gamble, it's just a free game for card collecting members.

        Good point........................so I guess the whole hooker idea is right out too

          The business card deal will work fine for the hookers too. This way you're not hiring a hooker, you're dating a chick that digs guys with business cards.

          As long as you are not too particular, this ought to work at, say, 1500 points?

            1500 points!!??? That hooker better cook and clean too!!! But, back on topic - I would just like more bonus merchandise! Where are the fridgemates? USB thingies? coasters? cufflinks? coffee mugs? that sweet General golfbag I saw on snusauction?? What about more of those mini trash bins for used snus? <--those were available for about 2 days, I missed out on that! Oh well, guess I should just be happy that I can order a huge variety of snus.

              Being an Ettan nut and a hat collector I would love to have seen one of those caps in my bedroom. And the snus garbage can sounds very cool as well. Maybe then I could stop throwing all of my used portions in the toilet. That may cause a problem one day but.... eh... whatev.

                  What did I get the conversion wrong?

                  1500 points = 37 can coolers = 150 pens = 10 winter hats = 10 mouse pads ... = 1 hooker (or a roll and a half of Skruf.)

                  If we have to stay on topic...

                  I love those coasters. I keep them in my office so I can throw them at the kids when they're being annoying.

                      FYI, As of this date Icetools are not offered for bonus points anymore.
