Well they did say they would honor all existing orders, the question is when? I can fix you up with a can, PM me if I am not banned already. The dead phone thing really pissed me off too, real shady move.

Is there any other website that I can order from and get fast shipping? Getsnus would arrive via USPS three days after I ordered it.
I am on my last can, HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

You should not have issues with back orders from here on out if you use Northerner. Also why is nobody bashing getsnus for taking your orders and sitting on them when they had to know they were selling their company for some period of time. I'm sure negotiations didn't happen over night. The Northerner had nothing to do with your order prior to today. Why don't you just give it a minute. Fredrick already said you would be contacted within a few days. If you live in the US and you'd like I'll send you a few cans to get you by

First of all, thanks very much, Fredrik, for responding so quickly to everyone's concerns.
I can understand why some of you are upset by the sudden change. It caught me by surprise, too. But my first reaction on seeing the changes to the old GetSnus site earlier today wasn't anger, it was, "Oh, that begins to explain a few things that didn't add up before." Fredrik's comments filled in a lot of the rest of the picture.
Sure, GetSnus had a lot of features that made it attractive to order from them, but those features weren't designed to be profitable or sustainable. They were just lures to build a customer base. A big company like SM can afford to take a loss on an operation like that, at least for a while. But remember, "If it looks too good to be true..."
Every snus vendor who has been building a US customer base over the past couple of years has to have known the PACT Act or something like it was coming. Therefore they were taking big risks by investing in a market that might disappear overnight. They couldn't announce what they planned to do, it might affect the way PACT is implemented. And I think all the vendors were likely watching closely to see just how PACT would play out, and trying to plan a strategy by which they could get their products to us legally. I'm sure US government agencies were less than helpful.
Obviously, SM has decided it's not worth their time and effort to run an online store catering to Americans. And equally as obviously, Frederik and Northerner have thought carefully about how they can serve their US customers best within the law, and have a plan to do so, even if they can't give us every detail of that plan just yet. I don't have any connection to any snus company except as a customer, but I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt unless there is evidence not to.
I do hope Fredrik will address some issues like the problem of the brands that GetSnus carried but that Northerner does not. But I'm sure that's not his biggest concern right now, and I trust he will get back to us to answer those questions soon. In the meantime, life goes on, and we still have online sources for snus. It could be worse.

My eventual hope is that I can one day drive to the gas station, fill up, walk inside, and see General Ekstra Sterk portion next to Skoal and Copenhagen. What a dream that would be...
Outside of impossible pipe dreams, Northerner (especially if you are reading), you NEED to use the Mystery can idea. It works a lot better for business and will attract enough customers to offset shipping costs associated with being in the United States. Hell, even a sample of stuff is all I want. Like today, I ordered two General ONYX, I bet the mystery can is Grovsnus Black (if I am very lucky!). See how that worked? They look at what you ordered and let you try something new you might not have got otherwise, increasing business, profits, and referrals to the site. This is the primary reason, in my opinion, that such a small site like GetSnus.com managed to gather such a loyal fan base. I do pray that Northerner learns from their successes.

Indeed, perfectly said Pipen. What I was taken aback by was the sudden nature of the move. I can see why he did it though, he only has a month and a half to get this through before PACT. After PACT, and providing he is still around, he can worry about getting even MORE brands of snus. I could survive of General snus for years before I need something new, but eventually I might. However, just like you said, his first order of business is straightening everything out to keep this market we have going on. It isn't completely unlikely that eventually Swedish Match will pair with Frederick once they see he can handle it, I believe it will happen. The other brands are also only a matter of time before they come through (V2 tobacco already has Thunder in his selection, Rothbrix and Offroad is only a matter of time). I'm glad somebody planned. I emailed customer service last night ironically enough, and they said "We will be working carefully to minimize the PACT impact (pun?)." He also mentioned that regardless, there will be SOME increase in prices, but I doubt it is enough to cause all this hullabaloo. I know you will have to pay state taxes on the tobacco, but I am not worried sitting here in South Carolina. My state taxes are set at $0.07 cents per pack/can of tobacco. I can afford it. I just hope those that live in less fortunate and more liberal areas (run by anti-tobacco douchebags) will still be able to afford this healthy alternative. However, when you look at it, it won't be much more expensive to go through Frederick than it would be to pick up tobacco in your local store or convenience store. Snus will go on, Frederick will go on, and Swedish Match will eventually hook him up.
Those lids were cool thoughMaybe they will return eventually!

Again, I wish this transition could have been handled a bit differently in many ways (phone, back orders communication and so on) but that wasn't up to us.
We do have a very clear strategy about the US market and that certainly inovolves trying to stay competitive after PACT. I can't say too much about what we have planned but our hopes are to be able to provide our US customers with snus at very affordable cost.

Listen, when this "new improved" forum came up. WHO WAS ON THE FRONT PAGE? ....
Northerner and Getsnus. Why would Northerner be advertising for Getsnus LOL. That was the first clue that something was coming down between the two! Not hard at all to figure out.
But, I HATE IT!
Northerner, you screwed up an order so hard that your customer service people couldn't even understand english!
You sent an order you said you didn't send,,,,, And I have the invoice right in frickin in my hands!! The order you said you sent WAS NEVER SENT!!!!
MY ADVICE, you need a customer service line!
AND,,,,, since Getsnus is now Northerner, then just call it what it really is, N O R T H E R N E R
NOW BAN ME!!!!!!

so that was why they gave a run around answer when directly asked on their forum as to what there pricing etc would be post pact! Not a big loss in my book as the service had been sucking over last 6 months. And just recently I made my first purchase from Northerner anyway. All getsnus was selling was close to expiration date anyway. As long as Northerner can keep the shipping costs down like getsnus after they get settled in. Or maybe they could renew the free shipping over $50. That would be nice.
