    Edit:
    Corrected info
Sorry about my ignorance and I know I should lurk more and research it myself. However, I was gone for a while and I'm wondering if anyone knows what these manufacturers could do in order to comply to the new regulations.

From my understanding they have to register with the FDA and disclose all the ingredients in their snus.

AFAIK, they have to submit an ingredient list to the FDA, and probably register themselves somehow after paying a bribe, er... I mean administrative fee to the FDA.

Just order from a Swedish shop, and their FDA status should not matter, and you should get them.

I still don't understand how some of this works. Why the shops shipping from overseas have to enforce tax collection. Why can stores from overseas ship into this country some products, and why is Northerner following FDA and all that if other stores aren't going to, and how that's going to work. How it's all going to be enforced.

The way they (the governemnt) want the system to work is that tobacco will be on the list of prohibited items being shipped into the USA via the US postal service.
That means people trying to ship tobacco in Sweden will have their packages refused by Swedish Post.
If by some chance it gets missed by Swedish Post it will still be subject to confiscation by US Customs when it arrives in the US.

The CN22 customs declaration is how most of the packages will be filtered. In order to get stuff through customs without being confiscated the person shipping the package will have to lie and say the package contents are different then what they are, or try shipping the package without a customs declaration.

And obviousely a large company like northerner will not knowingly mislabel their packages or refuse to send a package out sans a customs declaration. So what, are we screwed?

No, that's why Northterner has established a US base. No customs necessary. Also why they have a contract with UPS so no need for the USPS. Everything is fine from what has been said here. We will be loosing a few brands but that's about it. AFAICT

Right, but comparing the flow of services with a US based Northerner/Getsnus to a random Swedish based online shop?

Post pact, will one be able to order a roll of LD or Odens from, say, Primiumsnus, to the USA?

It doesn't seem so, if I'm understanding what's been said so far. I think I'll stock up on Oden's Cinnamon just to be sure. It's the only one of the brands mentioned above I'd hate to be without.

Nobody knows. We will have to wait and see. It all depends on how aggressive the FDA wants to be. And how the USPS changes, as has been said they will in one of snusdog's posts. What we do know is that we can still get alot of snus thru Northerner and this should not change for awhile at least. I will tell you one thing tho, I don't want snus to get anymore popular at this point, The bigger it get's the more regulation and the next thing you know were throwing down $7 for a can at the 7/11.
