Well, just heard back from getsnus, unfortunately there is nothing else they can do. Guess I'll just have to try and find someone to pick it up for me. I'll have to leave them some vacuum bags too.

Don't worry about the vacuum bags. just have them throw the box in their (your) freezer or even the fridge. It will be fine until you get back.When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I opted to wait for my order, but after it being in stock most of the week it never shipped. I'm wondering if it really ever will. I guess Fred hasn't been on here since all this either because he hasnt responded at all.

I have never had any problems with northerner, so this change really isn't a huge deal for me. I am not even upset about the increase in cost, for I knew this was coming as well and like others have said, we can still get our snus. My one suggestion I would have for northerner is that they need to improve their customer communication, they should offer communication to the customer rather than us not knowing what is going on and finally after much frustration contacting them and waiting for a reply.
For instance, one time I had placed an order with getsnus and somebody made an order for the rest of their stock of an item right before me, so it showed up as being in stock for me when it no longer was. They sent out the rest of my order, and called me to let me know what happened with the other item, told me when they were expecting more in, and asked if I would like to substitute anything or if I was ok with waiting on it. The level of customer service here blew my mind. Now we move forwards to last friday, I placed an order which showed up as in stock whenever I made it. My order never went over to shipped and I didn't know if this was just their system not updating or if it really had not shipped. Later on this week I looked on the status of the snus I ordered and found that the item is not even listed on the page anymore, if you run a search it says 'available at northerner.com'. So basically I have no idea what is going to happen with my order and I will be sending them an e-mail about it today or tomorrow. Now I am not upset about the situation, these things happen, but I am a bit dissapointed that zero effort has been made to contact me about this and I am running out of snus. The order was for frosted long portions, and had they contacted me I would have been perfectly fine with them subsituting regular thunder frosted portions so I could get my order, it is the lack of effort that bothers me.
All in all I think northerner is a great company and I like doing business with them, but I feel that a simple phone call sometimes to keep their customers informed would make a huge difference in the level of customer satisfaction they recieve. That is my 2 cents, and personally I could care less about freebies or any of that stuff, I just don't like being left hanging.

I agree, Ive never dealt with Northerner before, only Getsnus before the whole buyout. But I have heard nothing but good things. I have found a neighbor to pick up my snus while im on vacation, but my frustration also comes in the lack of communication and just not knowing.

well, after seeing my snus in stock for over a week and a half and no orders shipped i decided to send another e-mail after midnight last night and just voice my disappointment and threaten to take my business elsewhere. I got this response:
We are very sorry about the delay on your order 638027, and the skruf part of your order 637543. The skruf has been on back order from our supplier, and this is the reson for the delay. The skruf has arrived in the US warehouse now, and will be shipped out as soon as possible.

And like magic it was shipped this morning. Better late than never? I'm just sorry that I had to get so harsh to get any response. I'm probably going to shop around again to find a supplier that i like. So sad.

I am so pissed about this. I placed an order monday thinking i would have it in plenty of time for vacation this weekend. Getsnus alwasys got everything out the same day and was at my door in 2 days. Now i put and order in for 10 pack of Thunder Frost, which the website said they had in stock and was shipping from the US warehouse, only to find that there is a backorder and i'm screwed. Sent them a message saying hey where's my snus? They said it was backordered. Checked the website, clicked on the 10 pack of Thunder Frost. It says in stock. Says will ship from US Warehouse. Order still Pending. You could always call the people at getsnus too. I ordered with them everymonth for the past year. They had that awesome general contest. Fantastic company and website. Now it blows.
