Yea, I like his music. I have some recordings of just him. When he moved to Texas he hooked up with some other guys, and it's really filled the sound out. Not better or worse, just different. I dig it :^)

How about inexpensive shipping? I know after PACT this will no longer be the case, but right now you can ship a roll, maybe more, USPS Priority mail for $5. Why the markup? Just charge actual shipping cost, please. I will also really miss the discounted/expired section.

Damn, I wish I'd ordered more Roda when Getsnus was selling 7 cans for $13.75 w/1 free mystery can and $2.95 shipping. The good old days!

I'm going to miss subsidized snus! Can we talk the guys who make Gotland or maybe the Skruff dudes into opening a store in the US?! :-)

        Half Roll Discount.

It's one of the best features Getsnus had was giving you a little discount on half rolls instead of paying full, single can price on items you liked, but didn't use everyday. (things you like having 5 cans around of, but didn't need more than that)

Hmm, many good ideas going on in here. I do see the logic in the half-roll argument (if you are going to get 5, mine as well get ten), but remember that this 10 roll is going to cost most people twice-three times as much (not me, thanks South Carolina!). 5 cans might be okay for those trying something out or if you just have had a not so great month, financially speaking. The discounted/expired snus was cool too, it's a great way to clear out your inventory and still make something on it. As the Priceline guy said, "It's better to make something rather than nothing." Good point here. Great deal on Skruf Xtra Stark by the way too.

And man, this Skruf X.S. is actually a lot better tasting than the original Stark. More of a natural tobacco flavor coming through, I like that. Great way to kickstart the morning! And by the way, three days shipping flat. That's pretty good turnaround time.

I think what he may consider doing is some sort of hybrid system. You can use your points to lower shipping costs. Like 500 points is $10 off or something like that. Or maybe just use your points to add a discount. 500 points is 10% off, 1000 is 20% off the order. Or something like that. He could crunch the numbers to come out with something that works, but I think a "points for discount" system will serve everyone the best. It will help lower your tax cost and allow you to take what would be a $100 order and turn it to $80...not a great savings, but that's enough I think.

Yes, lots of great ideas here. I've compiled a list and gonna have a long hard think during the weekend. I doubt we'll have time to implement very much before Pact Act (our programmers are literaly working night and day getting everything in order for Pact) but bare with us a little and I'm sure we'll be able to come up with something good!

To Fredrik_Northerner anyway to get my points transfered from Northerner to getsnus? Or should I just on my next order just burn through the points on northerner?

Thanks Frederick. The Skruf Xtra Stark lossnus is very very fresh. Delicious! And the Icetool, perfect quality. I love it!

Can't wait for the R.L. Claq Qui tomorrow. I will finally be set with like 20 cans of snus. Enough for a few months on my habit

And welcome to the site stones! Glad to have you with the SnusOn community!

i voted half roll discounts. it would be better for me so i could try to stock up on different varieties without having 10 of each kind that i might not use too often. plus i cant wait for my thunder frost to come in from northerner. too bad i wont be there when it does cause i love that snus!!!

I think I could switch to exclusively snuff if I need to, so you aint got me under a bus. Do whatever you think is right, based on the amazing customer support you have right here (two or more of these options), and we will see.

I am happy that northerner has decided to comply with PACT, I just dont see how offering a free mystery can and popping for shipping, or offering fifth roll options is going to put them out of business. Congrats on the takeover though.

My vote goes to half roll discounts. Theres a lot of Snus I enjoy, but having a full roll of some brands is too much for me (for example, I only use Catch Eucalyptus every few days). The half rolls would give me the perfect amount, with a discount to boot!

Well Frederick, I think you are starting to see that most people want the 5 can discounts...by no means though should you get rid of points. I think maybe using points for other things could be cool too. If 1000 points is a 10 can roll, could one hundred be for a free can? That might be pretty cool. Instead of some "mystery can" that may give you mini mint (I feel for those that it happened to lol), you could actually pick one if you are ordering 10 or more cans. I also like your discounts you have on 10 can rolls. Order ten, pay for 8. Or even pay for 7. You could try something like that on the 5 can rolls. Buy a 5 can roll, pay for 4 or 4 1/2...it could save two-four bucks per roll, somewhat of a savings I think.

There are some things you don't have to lose money over. The point system is a great idea. Deep discounts over expired snus is also a good idea (2 bucks for some old General Extra Sterk portions, that's great!). 5-can discounts could also come in. So if you bought two different 5 can rolls, it would equal ten and you would be able to get a discount of a can or two.

I know it will take time to get everything set up, but it could work very well with some of these ideas put together, I think.

The problem with some of this stuff is that Northerner will be very limited to what it can offer now because of all the laws imposed on tobacco products. I have heard that Marlboro had to stop their Marlboro Miles due to federal regulations and anyone remember Camel Cash? There are also many states such as my own that have regulations that make it almost impossible to give away tobacco products for free. I still think the best thing to do is skip all the gimmicks, points, shipping, etc and just make sure that Northerner does whatever it needs to in order to keep snus at the best price possible.
