I apologize if this has already been discussed. I am fairly new to Northerner... My first order ever was from them, then I used BuySnus for quite a while, settled mostly a few brands, and used GetSnus for quite some time. A couple weeks ago I placed an order on Northerner.com and earned 440 points. Just now I placed an order on GetSnus.com and received 830 points (it was a fatty). Will these points from the two sites be merged? I noticed the CLub100 section, which I have never visited, and I want a free roll of snus! Please advise when/if the pionts will be combined, and when/if these points expire. I saw something about getting one roll from Club100 per month. Does that mean my points will expire at the end of May? Sorry, I really have no idea how the piont system works, I have never had enough to use until now. Thanks, Roo

The points on the Northerner site didn't expire to my knowledge. I built them up until I got about a roll free, but the selection of products was terrible.
It's not a good idea to have them expire, IMO...especially with more people making larger orders. My thinking is that when more people make bigger orders they'll use more snus per day. This might not be the case with everyone but I think human nature leans towards that. Maybe they should consider making it more attractive to use the points ASAP or in a different way.
I wouldn't imagine that they'd combine points either. It would just make too much sense. But I can see it being a nightmare as far as accounting is concerned. You would think that with technology the way it is this would be a simple task. Alas it's not always as easy as it seems. Besides, if we're ordering from any company overseas and the prices are the way they are it's probably in our best interest to just shut up and figure out how to make it work for ourselves rather than the masses.
My perception is that you don't have an account w/ Northerner. You have one with that site and one with GetSnus. They are most likely operating them as two separate companies and it might be in our best interest to leave that be. My guess is that Northerner is not going to be the site of choice for us in the US come July. GetSnus might be, but it's not looking that way. I know that I'll certainly do my due diligence on this front but I know already that Northerner is getting my mega order coming up. It is imminent. After that I'll have AT LEAST a full year before I have to worry about it. Right now their selection is still the winning key for me but I understand that will change soon. Northerner seems to be following the rules to the letter and there's nothing wrong with that. For me? I speed. Have certain herbs around. And I don't intend to pay more for snus that I "have" to. What we need is a GOOD US manufacturer but then again I don't trust Uncle Sam not to get his grubby little hands in it. Geesh this whole thing about the inner workings of the snus world is fascinating to watch.

It looks like each website is treated as a different store. They all have different prices and looks like each is made to appeal to a certain type of customer. I doubt that they will transfer points but you might want to spend what you have because I have a feeling the FDA will not allow tobacco points.

I think the relevant parts are:
"Can coupons be redeemed by mail?
No. The regulations prohibit the sale of cigarettes or smokeless tobacco through redemption of coupons by mail.
Can coupons be credited toward a gift or item?
No, the regulations prohibit the offering of a gift or item (other than cigarettes or smokeless tobacco) to any person purchasing cigarettes or smokeless tobacco in consideration of furnishing evidence of such a purchase.
What are some examples of “evidence of a purchase?”
Examples include credits, proofs-of-purchase, and coupons."
I think we are ok on the first one - since we will not be using "mail".
I think the second one means we can only receive cigarettes or smokeless tobacco in exchange for points.
I think the third one tells us that snus bonus points would be counted as "evidence of a purchase".

Well i know my first interactions with Northerner were actually thru swedish-snus.com. I could always log onto both sites and my points showed up at both. Then for some reason I just started using the northerner page. So I just went and logged on to S-N.com (I could as well as getsnus) but no points. Not sure when they changed this, but I am sure my points used to be available on both.

they are separate. i used to order from northerner, and i had points racked up there, then for some reason i started ordering from swedish-snus.com, and racked up points. i ended up with like 890 on one and 1100 on the other, bought more on northerner to break 1000, and got a free roll from each site
