Whenever I 've ordered anything with UPS shipping, I've gotten a quantum view tracking notification e-mail. They scan everything, every time it hit's a new center at UPS.
I wasn't sure 'cause all I've used til now was 2nd day air...
I made an order out yesterday and the only option it gave me was UPS ground as well. But I check my order history and Northerner says it was sent 2nd day air. I've actually never gotten a package by 2nd day air. Does that mean I'll have my General Whites tomorrow? And no tracking number provided to me, either. Unfortunately.
Now Northerner is canceling peoples orders who have been waiting for them because they are backordered. This is just great. I know it's not anyone’s fault but northerner not stocking up for pact has just absolutely ****ed so many of us here. They have nothing in stock, they take your money, wait for weeks without contacting you, then wipe your order history as though you never gave them money. Their customer service takes days to respond and all you get is some generic message which you cannot reply to. I’m so ****ing pissed right now. This is what I hate about monopolies; they can treat the customer like shit at every step and still make money because they are the only ones around. I want to love northerner because of how hard they try and because they support Snuson, but as a business they are consistently riddled with errors and delays the likes of which I have never seen. Sending some guy here to say sorry all day does not change the fact that I the customer am getting ****ed. I don't want to hear sorry or have a million issues resolved at a later date, I want to buy something and have it delivered. The fact that your customers have a close relationship with your f*ck-up department guy should say something.
I know I’m a heretic for speaking bad of the northerner, and I know it will all be better in 2 weeks or 3 weeks or whatever. But really, while I am glad they sent someone here to be a liason between us and northerner, Fred's labor would be better spent in the warehouse because they are obviously understaffed, their machines can't even handle the volume of sales they make, their programmers who run the website are terrible, their in-stock/out of stock system is always wrong, their customer service is ran by robots etc etc etc.
Whatever, ignore me, I am just pissed (and so is my wife, for spending all that money and not having anything to show for it, she thinks I sent hundreds of $ to some fly-by-night company that took my money).

I back this, here is the Northerner message they sent me:
"Unfortunately we had to cancel and refund the back ordered items in your order due to the PACT act. It can take a couple of days before the money is back on your credit card.
We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and we hope you will keep shopping with us."
My order is NOT PENDING, it has been CANCELLED as of this morning by Northerner!!

I don't have any allegiance to Northerner, anymore than I have an allegiance to Walmart. The only reason I've shopped at Walmart and ordered from Northerner is price, selection and convenience.
Once the price, selection and convenience is gone from one of those places, screw them. They aren't mom-and-pop shops and I don't owe them anything. If someone, somewhere else has a better deal for the same products -- batter up.
How can Fred’s comment above be accurate if Northerner just cancelled my order this morning? He stated this:
“Thirdly, the f*ckup with the whole Pending situation should also be resolved. If your order says Pending, then it actually is Pending and nothing else;-)”
As far as I’m concerned this order was still pending and I never wanted nor requested this order to be cancelled.

And I have expressed before how cool it is that they would go the extra mile and send a customer service rep here to give us updates and help us with out orders. This however does not change the fact that they have a million errors and delays that would warrant such a rep to exist in the first place. Wal mart does not have a rep because I can go there and buy something without a problem. Northerner however consistently has problems and therefore they have the need to hire someone full time to play catch up and diffuse said problems.
No hate on northerner and especially not in any way on Fredrik (who rocks), i'm just feeling rather disenfranchised at my whole ordering experience, and my order experience in the past. I would surely rather pay the additional 50$ brokerage fee than wait around for weeks or have my orders canceled, order history wiped, etc etc. But now I am in a position where I chose northerner as the place to give my money pre-PACT and that has left me screwed because my order will likely be canceled soon and I will have to place it again post-PACT at another vendor, which really erks me.
Sucks for you guys that don't have a bit of a supply. The only thing I'd add is to give them another chance after the PACT crap smooths out. I recommended Buysnus to non USA members via PM. There's just too much going on with Northerner atm. USA people don't have much of a choice imo. I'd rather due without snus for awhile than get reamed by a private carrier just because they can.
One of the things I've noticed about Walmart is how different one store is from another. The closest one to my house is quiet, clean and I've never seen anything like some of the specimens shown at peopleofwalmart.com. The next closest one, on the other hand, is a complete circus. It's always crowded, disorganized, and filled with varieties of miscreants.
Okay, upon talking with Fredrik I am going to calm down for a second. They had like 900 orders of thunder frosted right before pact and V2 just isn't producing in that volume so it will take multiple shipments before they can fill it. There was no way to stock up that much snus pre-pact on northerners end so really this is just about V2 being slow. He also said he would check into KCollin's claim that orders are being canceled due to being backorder since he says he has not heard anything about canceling orders yet.
/bitching for the day. Nothing anyone can do about this situation, it's just simple supply and demand.
The "quality" of Walmart stores, or any store, is going to be reflective of the people in the area it's in. If it's a decent upper middle class area, it will probably we nice and clean, and if it's the barrio, or some thug city, it will likely be trashy, filled with trash.
I think that most of the members here are very understanding of the situation. I just think that a heads-up on the situation would be courteous. There are many loyal customers here, and I think that loyalty should be reciprocated.
i agree but we have what should be and what is and they ain't the same. that is the real life of the situation and what we have to deal with.
