Today I received an email from Snusjet.com stating this below:

"Snusjet would like to thank all our great customers and inform all of you that we will be moving our warehouse due to the Pact Act, in order to continually offer tax free snus."

We as customer will still be responsible for paying these taxes correct?

Correct. I'm not sure what they have in mind, but in Texas, they may have to pay tax on stockpiled snus. That would raise rates for people outside of the USA also. They're probably moving to PA, or out of country so there is any tax from the very start. If you order from them, you'll still have to pay taxes(assuming you're in the US)

Well if they are moving out of country but still banking on the USA customer base, I say that's a big mistake. Not sure too many are going to want to play the 'Russian roulette' game with UPS brokerage fees.

In some ways Mexican tobacco laws are even more restrictive than in the U.S. Even if they weren't the mordida needed for import/export operations would make any cost advantages moot.

my biz partner was in mexico a couple of years ago and she told me she was paying about 0.50 usd for a pack of cigarettes. so they must not have much of a tobacco tax there.

The smokes in Mexico aren't the same as here. They are nice and strong but will hurt your throat after smoking them for a few days.
