I tried to buy some snus at Getsnus(and Northerner)....Now they have this age verify page....Every time I put in my month and year of birth (I'm 50) I t quivers for a second and then resets...I can't get past this page...Is there something else I need to do? (I have entered name...address, zip etc)...I emailed getsnus days ago and got no reply....Is this happening to anyone else?....Suggestions anyone?

I think they use a third party verification system. I /doubt/ it's your computer, but give a different browser a try, and see if it works better.

I'm going on record here as the first person to propose a Y2K10 bug. I have problems with age verification on a different site that simply doesn't understand that my birth date was more than 18 years ago.

One possibility is if you have your cookies turned off that can cause problems. Don't ask me why but I have found that to be true on other sites.

When I initially registered with Getsnus 7 months ago (different management), their age verification software would not recognize me either. So I ended up having to call them, provide more information, and even then they were unable to identify who I was with their database. This happens a lot as I have noticed that with many public search records I don't seem to exist. Anyways, I ended up having to fax them a copy of my driver's license to verify my age.

Of course, this was back when Getsnus was not as inundated and customer service was more accessible. Good luck.

I placed my first order with the new ownership a little over a week ago (note: don't forget to change your address if you use a PO box, UPS can't figure them out), and couldn't figure out why it wouldn't verify my age. Then I noticed an extra box that popped up between 2 others that asked for the last 4 digits of my SSN. >.< Once I noticed that it went fine.

I cant order from Northerner or any site that is similar to northerner because my age verification never works either. I have tried everything, So I am happy with buysnus.com My other order is already in PA and It was shipped thursday morning from sweden.

Sorry, we are unable to manually verify people. We have to use an approved online ID system to meet the requirements of the Pact Act. It can be that the verification system can't find you but we can't do anything about that.

So I guess I can't order from Northerner unless I have it shipped to someone else, lmao.

So much easier for me to just smoke cigarettes. (not going to, I'm just kinda mad right now.. )

Yeah northerner can't verify me either. Buysnus it is I guess though with the taxes and expensive shipping its actually cheaper for me to buy General from my local cigar shop. 4 bucks a can and its fresh. I'm just glad that General is one of my favorites.

Yeah, this sucks. By law Northerner can't fix this either:

‘(B) LIMITATION- No database being used for age and identity verification under subparagraph (A)(iii) shall be in the possession or under the control of the delivery seller, or be subject to any changes or supplementation by the delivery seller.
