    Northerner complaints/issues.

    Okay, I don't mean to rant, but I've seen a lot of this and I felt like speaking my piece. Sorry if this seems negative, but just wanted to voice my opinion.

    This doesn't really apply to the newbies, but guys who have been around a while - c'mon. We knew better. We had time to stock up, and can't be panicking now because we KNEW what was coming. Remember the story of the squirrels - one stored up nuts for the winter and the other didn't store up anything? Well some of us saved up and were ready for the PACT aftermath, some didn't and are now seeing the consequences. Guys, we knew better.

    Northerner is a large company and has acquired a new site, and a new US warehouse, as well as handling distribution for a few other people. Granted, they may have their hands full - but a little understanding. Whatever problem you have, I'm sure it will be fixed in time. Your order is taking a little while? Post a thread asking for help to get some snus from those who have extra, there are a few of us who have a massive stock. Or do a trade. But don't panic and freakout. We all need to take a chill pill right now because it's annoying to come in here and see nothing but Northerner hate threads. They're very busy and soon it will all calm down, but we KNEW it was going to be like this after PACT. No one can honestly say they expected this to go easy.

    If there's all this Northerner complaining going on - can you keep it in one thread (you could even use this one), or PM Fred your issues, or email Northerner customer support? Granted they aren't going to get back to us in a timely manner - and that's to be assumed due to how busy they are. But us freaking out and all that isn't a good thing. Yeah, there's been screw ups, delay of orders, and various issues - but they're a relatively small company, and are expanding. There's going to be some hiccups, and any issue you have I'm sure Fred and the crew will work out in time.

    A lot of us come here to talk snus, and it seems like every day there is a new "i hate northerner" or "where's my snus?" or "northerner order times" or something coming up, and when there's 10 out of 15 top threads that are complaint threads and maybe 5 snus discussion threads its kind of annoying. Can we keep it one place please?

    I know I'm not a mod and have no control over SnusOn or what is discussed here, but we all need to relax, chill out, and trust that in time these issues will work out.

    There have always been a ton of threads about these issues. Nothing new really. Except now it seems totally justified IMO. I get tired of vendor bashing threads and posts too, but this situation is out of control. Of course we stocked up, but that doesn't mean we don't want options that work. I hope they get it together and appreciate all the work they do, but...

      I have to agree with you. I stocked up over 200 cans from The Northerner with excellent
      service. I can understand the frustration of previous backorders but why would anyone
      place new snus orders now unless they enjoy pain?

              Some of our issues are from orders we placed about a month before pact, or even more than a month in the cases of some. We're not all "one week before pact" orders.

                thank you sooo much Chad for saying it.

                i wanted to start a thread about it for awhile but could not say it without offending and getting pissed off myself.

                i never posted about it because i could not find the right words.

                i stocked up well over 200 cans in over 4 months because i did not know what to expect with pact and the new tobacco taxes.

                i believe Northerner is doing their best to accomidate the US market and also with the current PACT/tobacco taxes and many just cry and complain when they dont get backordered snus that has been cancelled. if i was Northerner, i also would have cancelled all backordered snus that could not be delivered in a timely fashion...especially if i had to pay extra shipping and taxes that would have put me financialy in the red.

                everyone should be thankful that Northerner is trying their best to help the US snus market. once everything is sorted and all duckies are in a row......everyone is hopefully content

                    I agree Chad. It isn't Northerner's goal to screw people out of money or snus. Could they have handled things better? Maybe. It's easy armchair quarterbacking from behind a keyboard, but only the know what they're dealing with. I also like the idea of confining the bitching to 1 thread, if for no other reason than it's easier for Northerner to see it, and possibly address complaints. I barely feel like keeping track of all the threads, and that's my job. I'm sure Frank and Fredrik don't feel like scouring SnusOn for complaints on top of their busy schedule. If you want someone to address your issue, it's more likely to be dealt with when it's easy to find.

                        There shouldn't be the need for any armchair quarterbacking IMO. There is a lack of transparency with some of the dealings we've read about here. Fredrik shouldn't HAVE to be here searching for issues. Yeah WE all stocked up and got ready for PACT cuz we saw it coming. I think they could have gotten a bit more stocked up and ready as well...

                        Edit: Don't get me wrong guys. I'm like Northerner and Fredriks biggest fan, really. I just think the canceling orders and stuff is a bit over the line.

                          I am new to snus. I had never heard of the PACT act. I made my first order from Northerner a month ago and got my snus in 3 days. I made my second order on june 22 and learned about PACT. Four days later I received 4 cans. I e-mailed them and received a reply and an apology 3 days later. I, for one, can't complain. I believe they are doing their best and I am sure the rest of my order is on it's way.
                          BTW, I ordered from Snusexpress in Sweden on the 24th of june and got my order 7 days later.

                            I agree however I placed my order a few weeks before pact and have been having problems that I really hope are resolved.

                            It's just the fact of the matter that they are in the customer service business and are not servicing their customers to the degree that should be acceptable.
