I figured the order would arrive Monday, maybe Tuesday, although orders in the past would usually arrive in 2 days. It is now July 14th. I have sent several messages to them asking what happened to my order. I have not received one reply. Nothing! At this point, I'm probably going to call my credit card company to reverse the charges and go elsewhere. I understand that s&*t happens, but nobody has even contacted me. They have my money... that is all that really seems to matter to them. As a small business owner, I understand there are things that happen that are beyond your control, but you must explain to your customers what the problem is. Don't just leave them sitting in the dark. If I happen to get my order or a response, they will have to do something very special for me to order from them again.

OK, that's it for me... happy snusing!

PM me your address. I will send ya a can. I only have one extra can of Odens ES kenal los right now but my shipment gets here on the 19th so if you can hang in I can get you something weaker. Odens is stong stuff

And now for the conspiracy theory…
I think Getsnus has been Northerner all along. Where was Northerners US warehouse that they shipped from before they "acquired" Getsnus?

      Hmmmmmm.....

I sure as sh*t didn't any sort of compensation either for my long wait with none of my emails answered, and they took my money on the day I ordered it also.

          OK, just got a response...

Since the new law was passed in USA and our system up date we have received an extreme amount of e-mails, this has unfortunately made the response time very long. We in the customer support will do our best to answer all your questions asap.

The reason for delay on your order is that we have not received the products from the manufacturer. You will receive your order in 1-3 weeks.

We do apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and we hope you will keep shopping with us.

Kind regards, Siavash , customer support Northerner

Could anyone point me in the direction of a company that will only charge for what they have in stock?

You know, I considered opening an online snus shop... maybe I should look into that again....

The new Northern shipping price is outrageous! I order in smaller quantities because I don't use a lot of snus. $12.16 regardless of what I'm ordering? BS. My order is barely over a half pound. Northerner has essentially created a monopoly for US snus on the internet. They're shipping out of the US now and should really come down on their shipping charges. </rage>

Pact Act require's us to ship with UPS therefore the higher prices. But $12.16 is the same up to 1lbs I think so it's better to place an order of 20 cans for example... From Sweden it's lamost $20...

Yeah. This is totally understandable. PACT is out of your control.
Just order larger amounts. Stays fresh for a year in the freezer.

You charge more for UPS shipping than most other places. For example, another site I frequent charges a standard of $3.99 for UPS ground shipping. Why doesn't your company alter UPS pricing by weight under 1lb?

Is that for a signature required product also? It costs more for that service.

                    Edit:
Also, very large companies can wheel and deal with UPS to get better rates. I don't think Northerner has that kind of clout yet.

No, but do you not agree it is unfair to charge the same shipping price for a single can of nus vs. 15?

I never buy a lonesome can, but I think you can see where I am getting.

A standard flat fee of 12.16USD for everything under 1lb is a tad high. Not everyone wants to buy their snus in bulk. On smaller orders Northerner is clearly profiting from what they pass-off as UPS' shipping rate, deductive reasoning leads us so.

I understand the signature adds cost, but it shouldn't add THAT much for eight ounces of goods.

Without going into the particulars(cause honestly I don't know them), the biggest chunk of the charge is getting an item from 1 place to the other. In other words, The hassle of dealing with an envelope with a card inside isn't that much less than dealing with a box that has 2 rolls of snus inside. Much of the cost is in processing, and delivery, and that would be there regardless of weight. You're gonna have a base charge that'll be there regardless of what you order. Whether that charge is too much or not, I don't know. I do know it costs a fair chunk of money whenever I ship something via USPS.

It's not liable to get better either, now that UPS has a monopoly on this.

On this topic I ship UPS all the time, it cost me just as much to send 1 ounce as it does 1 pound. The minimum charge is for a pound and they also add 2.00 surcharge for a residential address. If you live in the country 30 miles from a decent size city there is another 2 dollar charge. So while on orders close to PA they are maybe making a few dollars extra, believe me that is absorbed in packaging and warehousing costs. Orders far away from PA will absorb nearly 100% of that 12 dollars.

For instance I can send a package up to from KY to Long Beach CA, for about 10 bucks.
I can also send a package to a rural address in Ohio, from Louisville, an address only 200 miles from me, and its 12.30

I still dont defend their other bad business practices, but shipping UPS is a pain and expensive for 1 pound or less. Thats why we have a damn post office... grrr.

They split my last order, and although I only paid the 12 bucks shipping, I received 1 UPS package already and have tracking on another.... meaning they lost money at 12 bucks.

Blame PACT for the shipping... not Notherner.

Finally received a partial shipment from my order placed on 6/24 on 7/12.
The second part arrived on 7/15.
