Northerner complaints/issues.

    I am contemplating making an order at getsnus. I have actually been thinking of quitting oral tobacco, it may be bordem, but I am curious to try those purified minis.

    Should I wait, or just do it?

      Try it - you'll like it.

      Wise/Oomph/Northerner are really good IMO. And the citrus/menthol come in 2 nicotine levels.

      My master plan is that once I am totally sure I am over all of the psychological habits of smoking - like in 5 years - I'll quit by switching entirely to the purified portions, 6mg then 3mg, then quit.

      Northerner/GetSnus are the only place to get them. So I don't think it matters if you put your order in now or later - you'll get it when you get it - there is no other option for where to buy it from.

        I long ago quit smoking, I really got into snus/snuff... which led to dip and chew, I believe out of "something to do", largely resulting from my very boring desk job. Yeah, I guess I could have become a donut afficianado, but snus seemed exotic, and mature, same with nasal snuff... so I went that route. But today, I haven't used anything since Sunday, and feel I could easily just quit it all now. But bordom may be setting in again.

          I've got some backordered from Getsnus!! The Northerner site
          still lists availability as 1-7 days so I doubt if they will be in the
          partial shipment due for delivery Monday the 19th. The invoice
          shows up as completely blank; for all I know I might only get
          one out of the six items I ordered!!! Anyway, this mystery will
          be unraveled Monday -- giving new meaning to the phrase:
          Christmas in July.

            Hello fellow snusers-

            I just discovered the snuson.com forum earlier this week, after doing a Google search to try to shed some light on why my Northener order had not yet been shipped. After reading a bunch of threads, I came upon this one and noticed that Rick from Northener is a member here, so I decided to drop him a line and see if he could help me with my order.

            I sent a brief note to Rick with my order information and he got back to me immediately and said he'd look into it. He explained that part of my order was out of stock (Thunder Berry) and that was what was holding up the shipment. He also told me that if I wanted to make a substitution for the out of stock item, he would make sure my order was filled. I decided to double-up on another item (Thunder Wintergreen) and Rick made some calls and the next thing I knew my order was in the mail and it arrived today!

            I understand that many of you are in a similar situation as I was in and I empathize... Believe me! (I've been buying lousy and expensive Skoal Bandits for the last two weeks... Ack!) I also agree with many of you that there are steps that Northener should/could have taken which probably would have mitigated many of the current problems. I am sure Northener will learn a lot from this experience and I wouldn't be surprised to see some of our suggestions incorporated into their business down the road.

            However, I think it's very easy to point a finger and complain about what's not working, while anticipating all of the different problems that can arise from fundamental change in the industry is quite a challenge. Regardless, I wanted to let you all know that my interaction with Rick was great. He handled my problem quickly and professionally and he earned a customer for life. Most importantly, I have come away from this experience knowing that Northener cares a great deal about their customers as well as their business.

            Okay, back to reading all the great info on snuson.com!

              Welcome to SnusOn Chris!

              I'm glad you got your order straightened out. The feeling I'm getting is Northerner's slowly starting to catch up. There's been a couple people that have fallen through the cracks, but it looks like everything's starting to get normalized. I'm hoping in a couple months, everything will be smooth as butter, the way it always was :^)

                the people at northerner are good people. i have never heard of anyone being ripped off by them. just the other way around. but i cannot blame anyone for complaining about not getting their snus for weeks and not getting responses from emails sent asking what is wrong. besides that i think northerner needs to hear what their customers think if they want to grow. iow, i think it helps both sides. i want northerner to be successful in america. maybe we are spoiled but we are the paying customers. i have no doubt northerner will come out of this on top. mostly i think that will happen because they *are* good people with strong values.

                          They say 1-3 weeks. Back ordered. One can of this delayed my shipment almost a month.
                          UPS came today! I had changed the shipping address to my work, but it went to my house....
                          now it is getting nice and dry in the back of a UPS truck.
                          I need Red to come put his foot in some asses!

                            My wife tried to place an order yesterday, but it wouldn't let her. When she hit the "complete order" button that takes you to the credit card page, it just refreshed the current page. It said that the age verification was approved, so I don't know what the hell happened...
