Hi all, I've tried to stay out of this mess. But heres something to think about.......I was able to stock up well ahead of PACT being signed and implimented. Thats because I only use OR coffe/vanilla. It wasn't produced anymore and I needed some. I contacted V2 to see if they would make up a batch and that I would buy it all. Patrik at V2 and Frank at Northerner were gracious enough to do a deal so I wouldn't have to buy a whole run and others would be able to get it also.....for a limited time. It is not available at this time. This was right before Northerner was inundated with the PACT crap. They went out of their way to help me out in a way that was totally unexpected. I thank them for helping me out.
In the past, absolutely any time anyone had an issue with their shipments Northerner has taken care of it [to my knowledge]. Believe me, any time a member of snuson had a problem they posted it here for all to know. I just wonder how many people took advantage of Northerners great business ethics. Meaning how many people actually didn't have a problem, bitched about having one, and received free product. If any of you did this then shame on you.
Northerner has taken us at our word in the past and they deserve the same in return. There seem to be several known reasons that our orders are late or canceled. I'm sure there are other reasons for Northerners actions that we are not totally aware of. We don't know the whole story on the delays and such but if you wait patiently till the end, Northerner assures us that it will have a happy ending.
I guess what I am trying to get across is that yes Northerner is experiancing growing pains along with PACT hassels and their response time is way slower than normal. Their customer service personel obviously does not have a full grip of the english launguage but come on, think of all the different launguages they have to understand to deal with a world wide market. If you haven't recieved a response to an email for the issues you have within 7 days then email again and please be patient. It is trying times for Northerner mostly because they are making sure that in the future we will still be able to get a decent selection of our dear snus. Let them do their thing to the best of their abilities at this time. No quick response to emails, canceled orders, long delivery times and such are just not the normal for Northerner. The one thing they want most is for their customers to be happy with there level service. It will soon return to normal. I'm certain that if you send your initial email with the issues you are experiancing that even if you wait 3 or 4 weeks it will be resolved. Give em a chance to catch up please. Those of you that have used northerner for some time please step back and be patient. You know that even if your issue isn't addressed in 2 months you can email them again when things calm down and they will fix you up. They always have in the past.
I think that V2 is partly responsible for some of the recent delays. V2 is a small but fast growing company that is also trying very hard to come out with new flavored snus, per members suggestions, to try and keep everyone happy. There is no snus maker that is trying harder than V2. You need to give them a chance to catch up also. Please.
For all we know there might be a mountain of snus setting in customs waiting for customs agents to go thru them to make sure the taxes are paid or whatever. We just don't know. But it seems that alot of people are getting their orders, slowly.
Anyway, sorry for the rant. I hope that some of you can chill for a bit untill things settle down. Especially the members here that should know that northerner will make things right.
Personally I wish that I lived closer to Fredrik, Frank and Ice. I would love to show my appreciation for all they do for the members here by taking them all out for a few drinks. Even tho I don't drink I would love to buy them a few and have a good time chatting and such. It would be my pleasure.
A few weeks before PACT was enforced I purchased a few rolls of the Jaks original, wintergreen and the ice. I will not use them but I couldn't pass up the deal. I figured I better get more snus because the effects of PACT were unknown at that time [and my beloved coffe/van is no longer available anywhere]. Any snus is better than no snus. Anyway, if any members are out of snus or nearly out please contact me and I will help you out the best I can untill your order comes in. This wasn't my plan for these rolls of Jaks but if it will help some of the members and help ease the crunch on Northerner I can let some of these go now. PM me.Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

Well I decided to walk to my back porch today. To my suprise there was a nice box from Northerner there... Dunno how long it's been there, it was sent UPS and UPS never left a notice on my front door or anything... So it could have been there for a few days to weeks. Depressing. Hopefully everything is still good haha.
Although I received it I'm still missing a few things from my order (I believe they are backordered things though, so no issue) Only problem I did notice is my Gotlands Yellow was Portion instead of Lös like I ordered, but they doubled my Jackobsons (Icefruit and Wintergreen) which I didn't know there were going to, I guess I ordered around the double jack's period.
So since I've gotten most of my stuff I'm a fairly satisfied customer of Northerner. Now I'm just waiting on my small backorders. :P

I've been kind of harsh on you guys who are having trouble. I apologize for all the ball busting comments I made. I know how frustrating it must be to have money in limbo and no response during these uncertain times.
I agree with Chad, PP and lx. I won't repeat. No sense beating a dead horse. We gotta stick together. If someone is about to run out and needs a hook up I will try to help. I don't know how to get snus to you, but I have a can or two lying around that I would be happy to toss your way. Unless you're Tex. Tex, you can go pound salt.

dam ups drivers can't even do their job properly. And you wonder why so many packages are all tore open and such? He couldn't even walk to the door and drop it straight down, he had to throw it. Half the time my deliveries are at my garage door. My garage is seperate from my house and has several large overhead doors on it and several regulare entry doors too. My garage matches my house but with all the doors you would think that they would be able to tell the difference between a freakin garage and a house. The thing is that they have to drive past my house to leave my property. Idiots. They just don't care I guess. Several times I've gone out to my garage and found my snus sitting by the door suffering in the heat. But its always been fine.

We are sorry about the delay. Correct the thunder mini is instock now, but the thunder frosted Long+ is not. Your order will be shipped out as soon as its back instock again.

I ordered 10 cans of thunder mini(it's been in stock for a few days)and 4 cans of thunder long(who knows when it will be in stock) I my credit card was charged on the 24th and I guess now they won't ship anything until the back order comes in, what i'm afraid of is the thunder long will come in and they will
be out of the thunder mini.
so later on I get this email

It's the nature of the beast at this point I guess. I've used Northerner probably 50% of the time for my orders, but I've only been around for a short time. Things could have been handled better in hindsight, but overall the companies involved here haven't burned the goodwill that has been built up, or that i anticipate feeling after things get fixed.
Rick and Northerner seem to be working hard at making sure snus is available, and living in a currently "banned" state, I certainly appreciate the time and effort that is involved with following up on an individual state basis. I fortunately have a few months stock now, and can't really order more as I'm transitioning jobs to make much more money. I'm hopeful that because of Northerner's efforts, I'll be able to purchase by next month without setting up a ups box or something in another state.
Hopefully some lessons learned here, and I hope it's all resolved soon for all our sanity.

If anyone thinks that our government has really screwed things up for tobacco users just wait a year and see how badly other aspects of our lives will be affected. The times they are a changin. And its not going to be good. We will all probably want the world to end in 2012 by the time our government is done with us.Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

Hey All,
Well I decided to switch to snus to help me quit smoking, and it's working. However I have been using American Camel SNUS which provides a very low niccotine content so therefore I have to pop two of those F***** in to keep me from wanting to smoke. I finally broke down and ordered some Snus from Northerner.com just yesterday. Only to stumble across this thread today and see that they are having problems shipping orders. We can bicker all day about the laws being passed in the US, and the problems northerner.com is having complying and satisfying orders at the same time. Keep in mind Northerner.com is a business and has been for almost 13 years and I'm sure if there is anything they can do to prevent customer dissatisfaction and boost customer loyalty, they are doing it if they want to stay in business. Are these issues affecting ALL orders? Or only orders that are available in the Sweden warehouse? I ordered 10 cans of General White Mint which is in stock in the US warehouse according to the site. Is my order going to be extremely delayed? I wish I knew how to find out myself. The order states that it is "Pending" which I have no idea what that means. It sounds like these problems are only affecting orders that are backordered to the manufacturer or are not in stock in a US warehouse. Am I wrong? Any insight? Thanks to all.
