        Perhaps good news. Some lady from Northerner called today and talked with my husband. I guess someone was supposed to transfer the old orders into the new system and it never got done. Hubby said she wants to get it settled and make it right. She left an email address for me to reply. So, I have sent an email and am waiting for a response or snus again.

            Wow. I haven't been here in a bit but I see that the situation with Northerner is still the same. And I'm still waiting for them to make right my shorted order from June. It's obvious they don't give a damn. I've left voicemail messages and sent emails. All to no avail. They will never, EVER get a cent of my money again. Ever.

              Have you contacted them recently? It seems there were some communication issues with the switch to a new computer system, the new laws, and internal changes. After talking with Rick, I think they are trying to find all the old June orders that fell through the cracks. I'm still waiting for mine, but I have seen more activity in the past week than in the past 2 months.

              Edit: On a personal note, are there ANY shops in your area that sell snus? I have a new convert in Columbia and all we can find for B&M stores are over here around STL.

                    You have to go to your local tobacco store and politely ask them to order General snus through their Swedish Match distributor. I finally convinced a store to carry it and he sells it for under $5.00 a can which is good around here. The store managers will all give you a strange look and say "what the hell is Swedish snus?" when you ask them to order it but have them call their Swedish Match distributor to look it up. Now, the only problem I have is that the tobacco store I go to does not have a fridge to store it in and they keep it in their cigar storage area. No problems yet but I am not sure how long it will last there even though I have told him 100 times it has to be refrigerated.

                        Rick, unfortunately i dont have an order number i dont think since i ordered through you. I will check online to see if they have it in my order history but i doubt it. The problem is that i dont want to open all of my cans, but i think i am going to have to because it seems to be about 1 in 3 cans are ruined, out of 90 cans in total. I am just not sure what would cause the portions to be so weak, is it a heat thing?

                          Do me a favor, shoot me an email or PM and fill me in on what's happening. I mean, I already know, but I'm at out of town until Thursday night and don't want to forget to forwad this to the appropriate human. Not sure what can cause this, but we'll check into it. How much did you have that was "not right"?

                            sgreger1, what snus are you having a problem with?

                            I'm asking 'cause I just received some rolls and I'd hate to freeze
                            them as-is only to open them down the road and find them ruined.

                            Like you, these had been back-ordered since June.

                              Hi. Sorry for the late reply. Hadn't checked back in a day or so since I last groused. The only shop I know of that sells snus (I'm in Jefferson City, 30 miles from Columbia) is Welcome Smokers in Jeff City. HOWEVER, they only carry American snus. From time to time the guy gets in samples of General, but actually told me that he has no intention of carrying it. Why I don't know. Seemed to have an attitude about it actually. I told him it was a pity because he'd have a regular customer in me and might get more people interested in snus after they had tasted the superior quality.

                                i'm not pleased to be able to contribute to this post, as i've always had top notch service with northerner/swedish-snus/etc, but that finally changed.

                                placed an order wednesday, at 12:46pm from the US warehouse. paid the extra for 2nd day delivery so i would have it by friday (today). order did not go out until thursday, and delivery time from ups is set to be delivered next tuesday. its coming from PA, and im in KY, and i pay for 2nd day delivery, and it is going to end up taking longer than ground would. whats up with that?
