    Oomph "facelift" for US

Finally received my first email from Getsnus concerning my PENDING order from June 30:

We are sorry about the delay on your order. Unfortunately the Oomph has been delayed from our supplier, and this is the reson for the delay. We will ship your order as soon as the oomph arrives here.

    PS.
The Oomph will change its name, so if you receive the new cans don't worry it has just gotten a slight facelift.

    Kind regards,

    getsnus.com
In checking both the Northerner and Getsnus sites, sure enough:
Coming back soon in the US warehouse with a ”facelift”
Being an intrepid reporter , I immediately did Google and Bing searches for "oomph snus facelift" and multiple variations, and visited the TillCe AB website.

    GUESS WHAT?
    I learned that..
TillCe AB – Privately Owned and Financed – Independent from Cigarette Companies and
also Free from Involvement of Multinational Pharmaceutical Companies.

In the eighties they developed all products branded Nicorette. Nicotine in gum was patented 1908, in 1974 LEO patented the Nicorette gum. R&D behind Nicorette is actually based on “snus”.

    Bottom Line:
    • TillCE is as secretive as Apple and Steve Jobs
    • The new facelift/name change is evidently top secret
    • There is no indication when FDA approval will occur although it seems to be close

We await the arrival with baited lips!!

Yeah ... but wait til the end products "hit the shelves"...

My take is that the FDA probably questioned the name itself and
wanted/insisted/suggested that the name be indicative of what
the actual product really is!?! Gotta admit, Oomph suggests what,
        exactly? The dictionary says:
        oomph [ʊmf]n Informal
        1.
        enthusiasm, vigour, or energy
        2. sex appeal [perhaps imitative of the bellow of a mating bull]
Not much information can be found (yet) from Northerner or Google searches ...
BUT Oomph (or whatever) is evidently gaining FDA approval and will be available
in much of the US. (Hopefully soon so I can get my pending backorder before the
        other items are out-of-stock again).

If you had to pick a descriptive name for the Wise/Oomph line, what might it be?

I don't think Bull Bellow would receive a passing grade!!
How about PURIFICATION SNUS?? (It is purified, after all!!)

I'd call it "Vit" (White). Like "Vit Citrus/Menthol", "Vit Wintergreen" and someday soon, "Vit Cinnamon".

If you had to go with something descriptive - I'd go with something that asserted cleanliness or freshness.

I don't think it would be a good idea to assert purification, health, "whitening", etc. I think the FDA would object - at least if/until they get certified as "reduced harm". In that respect, Oomph is probably, IMO, safer then "Wise".

                        "labeling issues..."
                        Contents: Absolutely Purified Tobacco
is probably a no-no with the FDA...

They are probably not likin' the purified claim
(why? ... does it matter in today's political arena?)
"Wise/Oomph portion snus contains nicotine but is purified from undesirable constituents in the finished product. Among these are nitrosamines that can cause cancer. This is why the Wise portion snus can be called a purified."
"We sure as hell don't want to promote something that might be healthier than smoking
so get rid of the word purified; it sounds like something people might be attracted to!
                        And while you're at it......"

NOW, WHAT'S WITH THE NAME CHANGE?
                        NOOMPH??
                        = NO OOMPH
                        LOOMPH?? = LO OOMPH

Then again -- where does that leave Northerner Wintergreen Snus??

                        (LaZeR --- still confused??)

*Groans....* This FDA bullshit is really starting to chap my ass. If they want to regulate something, regulate fuking McD's or something and stick to the actual food chain product. This is govt. takeover BS is getting ridiculous and I know it isn't ALL Obama's fault but it sure as hell is going down smoothly under his watch. Happens everytime there is a Democrat in the high office, it seems. Yea I know Republican's have done some stupid shit to but I swear my paycheck goes down and the restrictions to my life go up when a Democrat is on top inking the bills.

*sorry for going political... Breaking my own rule.

Politics has become so ingrained in our daily lives that there is no getting away from it -- name me one thing that politics has not tainted!

I can't sleep without meds so you're asking the wrong person unfortunately. I wonder if 'herb' becomes -medically approved- or whatever in the Keystone as I'm hearing rumored, if they can prescribe it for my depression and extreme anxiety? I really don't like breaking the law BUT then again they are creating the environment that we damn near have to in order to obtain our nicotine fix so what the hell is about what I'm starting to feel...

"The American Government, Good @ creating a new criminal out of a law abiding citizen each and every day...."
