    UPS Delivery Information

What should I do if I'm expecting a delivery?

For residential deliveries that require a signature, you can leave instructions for the driver if no one will be home. For example, you can ask that it be delivered to a neighbor who will be home.

Shipments that don't require a signature can be left in a safe place at the driver's discretion.

UPS makes up to three delivery attempts, excluding weekends and holidays.

UPS will return to shipper all Ground packages after the final delivery attempt, with the exception of packages where the shipper requested a delivery signature.

All Signature Required, Adult Signature Required, Air, UPS 3 Day Select® and International packages will be held for five business days to give the customer time to make arrangements to receive their packages.

Plan Ahead and Receive Your Shipment as Soon as Possible

To receive your shipment on the first delivery attempt, track your shipment on ups.com® and leave a note for the driver on the scheduled delivery day. The note can instruct the driver to either leave the shipment, or, if a signature is required, deliver it to a nearby neighbor who is home during the day.

I just got my first shipment since PACT. I'm currently living with my family so I don't have to work while I go to school, but I don't really want my parents to know that I'm using snus since Dad just quit smoking after a really uphill battle with it and is now anti-tobacco. Is there any way to get it shipped to a UPS store instead of my house next time? It doesn't look like Northerner will do it because of Age Verification and whatnot.

If you're really desperate, you could get a UPS box, it's like having a USPS box but run by UPS. I'm sure they'd deliver there, though it would probably be pretty expensive. My parents have one because they live overseas, so UPS collects all their mail for them and ships it to them once a month.

You'd have to sign for it, and show an ID that you are over 21.

Most UPS Stores will accept and sign for packages for you
without you having the get a (pretty expensive) PO Box.
The typical fee for this service is usually $3 per package
but large city locations might charge more. You need to
call a nearby store that you want to do business with
          and inquire.

Your credit card would also have to have the store's
address authorized as a shipping address.

I just thought of this, my storage place says they accept packages, so maybe if you have a storage unit somewhere, you could have it shipped to them and they'll sign for it.
