Looking to Place First Order

Hey everyone, I am new to the forums and relatively new to snus. Started with Camel Snus and eventually was able to find some General snus (would never go back to Camel now) . After lurking on this forum for some time, I have found out some great info. I am looking to place my first order and was just wondering what your opinions would be on who to go through. From what I have seen, Northerner/GetSnus seems to be giving many people fits, although it seems that some are getting their orders just fine. I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts were on Northerner/GetSnus vs. SnusCentral or BuySnus, etc. Any opinions on this? I can definitely make whatever General available to me work for awhile, so if it takes a couple weeks that is okay. Just kinda curious as to opinions on these other sites. Any other suggestions?

Buysnus seems to be giving folks the least amount of trouble these days although Northerner is getting things worked through now. Order a wide variety, no rolls please, and as much as you can reasonably afford since small orders are very cost ineffective because of the much increased shipping rates. And never throw anything away. If you hate something at first blush chuck it in the freezer and revisit it in a few weeks/months. Welcome.

Northerner has been getting themselves straight the last couple months. I /think/ they'd be safe to go through now, but I'm not 100% sure. Do a mock order with Buysnus and Northerner, and see what the cost difference is, including shipping. Then you can decide if the cost difference is worth a possible delay(I'm certain Northerner will be cheaper). If you have issues with Northerner, they'll get straightened out, but there may be a delay. In other words, you don't have to worry about getting screwed. They'll make things right eventually.

Welcome to SnusOn! I'm a huge Northerner fan, but honestly I'd order from BuySnus right now. You might also look through the exchange thread to see if there's anything there you want:

I agree with the suggestion of trying as many different ones as possible and don't forget loose either. Order a lot to save on shipping and if you really end up not liking something after a while you can sell it on the exchange thread. Also, the best deal right now is the VIP deal here on SnusOn. $2 a can shipped, but you run the risk of not liking the selection. Enjoy your journey!

Welcome to the forum Brett! Great to have you.. I'm Just a couple months in and did my recent order from snuscentral. Northerner is good but I was still nervous cause of the problems post pact, plus I really wanted to try Nick and Johnny and 1847. I haven't gotten to the 1847 yet. Nick and Johnny strong white is awesome!!! I reccomend you add that to try. Also you can buy skruff. Which is on the FDA ban list. So it has that being that "forbidden fruit" allure. Northerner was great on the 1 order I made with them but this past order I wanted a little more variety. Plus my cans didn't have huge warning labels. I would say go with buysnus/snuscentral for your first order. Remember to put that code in with snuscentral. It takes 10 percent off your first order. Then your second order with
northerner, by then all the kinks should be worked out. Order at least 20 cans. Then your price per can drops with the shipping cost.

I just placed an order with SnusCentral last night for 20 assorted cans , I would have gone with northerner if they had anything in stock that I wanted. 5 of the ones i wanted said 1-7 days and not in stock. My first order with Northerner went pretty smooth except they sent me 1 can that had A used by date of that week I got my order and a can of Ettan was shipped seperately. So I went with SnusCentral and got 10% off since this was my 1st order with them. buysus was more expensive....

If Northerner has everthing you want to try give them a try....

Since time is not a factor for you, I'd suggest making mock orders at all of them and go with whoever comes out cheapest. Any of the web stores mentioned will be more than happy to make up for any problems you may experience.

IMO, only use Northerner if EVERYTHING you want is in stock, otherwise you are better off paying the much higher shipping from snuscentral.

Hey guys, just an update. I ended up ordering half a roll of Thunder ES Frosted from GetSnus. I know, it was a very small order but I wanted to see how it worked out. I know many of you are Pre-PACT but I didn't feel like I payed too much at all. about $26 shipped. It cost me less than 5 cans of General would have been and I didn't have to drive half an hour each way. Placed the order on Monday and have had it for 4 hours already. So far I love this stuff and am enjoying the General I have also. Thank you to everyone for welcoming me and I definitely am looking forward to being on these forums. I will be placing another order soon, and will definitely be using some of your suggestions.

Edited: Also, when UPS came to the door I only had to sign and did NOT have to show I.D. I am (exactly) 21 so I wasn't worried about it but was interested in if they would ask. He didn't. He seemed to just want to get on with his day.
