    Northerner RIP OFF

    I ordered 10 cans of Northerner Boost, along with 3 other items:



    Today I received my order. It came via UPS, in an envelope. I received a total of one (1) can of Northerner Boost - nothing else. The order number was changed to 697075, packed by Teresa.

    Ripped off for over 90% of an order - thanks Northerner!

      Not to make excuses for Northerner, but might this possibly be a can that was not shipped with your regular order (they ship as loose cans, not sleeved) or maybe a 'bonus' can they didn't want to deprive you of?

      Have you received a UPS notice yet? Their 'accounting' as seen above notes the order date (7/31/2010) but not the shipping date. But since it does say shipped it might be going out today. (Screwy system to say the least!!!)

      Go to the Helpdesk and send them a message, You might get an answer; I sent one last Friday and have yet to hear from them!!

      Please keep us informed.

      BTW, I'm waiting for the rest of my order from Getsnus and I can't even get the information you show above!!

        I got the shipping notice, that package was it... it shows that I signed for it and it's delivered.

        What a scam!

          What a difference between companies...

          I just placed an order online for some of my vacuum-marinating snus flavor extracts. There was a problem with one of my addresses (billing) BUT the company provides a call-back system online -- I plugged in my phone number and my phone rang almost immediately. Teresa (not a machine) took care of the situation and my order will be shipped (free) tomorrow!! And the order was nowhere the size of my snus orders.

          Wouldn't it be nice if Northerner/Getsnus used such a system!!

          BTW, the flavor company is no small potatoes outfit.

            I do run a "small potatoes" company, selling items online.

            Even if a customer only spends $19, they have a phone # to call in case something goes wrong.

            Northerner has no phone # that I can find. With all these problems it's no wonder - they'd never get anything done answering the phone all day.

              Josh,

              I have forwarded your concern to the appropriate person, let's wait and see what the reason is before we start throwing around words like "scam", etc. I do understand your frustration, but there is probably a very simple explanation. Thanks

                It seems the biggest "issue" is simple communication. They don't have a customer service number, and their website contact is not good. I made an order at getsnus a couple of weeks ago, and as soon as I clicked "pay", I sent a contact, to have them mail it to my work, which they did not, and I did not recieve a reply till, yesterday, or the day before, saying "sorry, we already mailed it".

                  For the life of me, I can't understand why there's a warehouse in the US but everything other than shipping is handled in Sweden. Sorry, but such telecommuting just doesn't seem to work, at least under present conditions.

                  There's nothing like on-site hands-on (physical) management to keep the wheels greased. Someone who understands American attitudes because she/he also has that same attitude. Laissez-faire just doesn't cut it!! And that's what proper communication is all about.


                  As a footnote: I'm almost sorry that I ever received the formerly known as Oomph Northerner snus ... then I wouldn't be so beholden to dealing with them! WON snus is handy to carry around and I can double-barrel them easily to double my nic hit. But if I had never experienced them I wouldn't know what I was missing... and life goes on. I just need to refrain from ballyhooing them anymore on SNUSON or anywhere.

                      They use to be really good about taking care of these problems pre pact. It happened to me a number of times and I would receive a courtesy email 48 hours later.

                            It eventually showed Partially Shipped and I received UPS notification twice and received 2 partial shipments (the last on 8/2/10).

                            I filed a ticket Fri 8/6 concerning the remainder of the order. I even offered to substitute something else for the Thunder Berry just to get this order closed.

                            This new system seems to be as good as the old at ignoring messages 'cause I've yet to hear from anyone. (Maybe I should Google Translate my message to Swedish... hmm, maybe by tomorrow morning if I don't hear from them.)

                            I'd PM Frank but I've heard his mailbox is full and no one's heard from him since 7/29; Fredrik has been underground for about a month or more.

                              Welcome to SnusOn, JHK! You didn't get scammed. Northerner is a great company and have been doing a brilliant job of supplying snus for years. They have been going through a lot of changes lately and seem to be running in to a lot of issues. But they will come through for you. Sucks about your shipment, but it sounds like they are already on it. I hope it gets sorted out quickly for you.
