Oops, think I made a booboo. Isn't ice fruit nicotine free? If it is I won't be paying the VAT and P.o charge was more focussing on the tax free aspect and thought that'll do I'll risk it. Stop me racing ahead next time!

        just found it interesting.....

        http://www.northerner.com/docs/pact_act.php

        7) Please note that, as a customer purchasing smokeless tobacco products in the U.S., you personally are responsible for paying any taxes related to the purchase if we did not apply them at the point of purchase, as well as any fines, fees or any repercussions if they are not. We feel that we need to protect our customers from this very real risk. You may find that some of our competitors have opted to take a different route i.e.; not paying the local state taxes to make it seem like you are saving money but, leaving you as the customer responsible for paying these federally mandated taxes and at risk of being fined or worse. We advise that this is a highly illegal practice and risky to you as a customer who will most likely be imposed with these taxes and other fines.
        anyone catch the irony?

so it's only highly illegal and risky when BuySnus sells to the US?
But it's A OK for Northerner to have a tax free site to serve European customers?

I'm done with Northerner. Also, I was saving my points at Northerner for an Icetool and then they went and changed the point system for the US. Technically, as far as taxes go, you are liable for pretty much anything you buy on the internet but how often do you pay taxes when you buy something online? Almost never

How can they say their competitors are illegal when I am able to get a form
in Oregon and pay my state tobacco tax myself?

Hi, I just ordered a flat-pack of snus from www.swedish-snus.com and had a £13 customs fee to pay when it arrived in the UK.

Only £5 was the VAT but Royal Mail slap on a £8 "international handling fee". So in future, I'll make sure the values of my package are below the £18 threshold for VAT...

Yeah, the flatpacks come from the US.

So the charges are made in your local postal office. (that's how it works in the rest of Europe)

Lucky enough, something has changed in Romania.... I have received my last package from U.S of 1KG of dip and didn't pay anything extra because it arrived at the normal postal office... not the customs one..... weird .... don't know why....
