What is the snus age differential between stateside and Swedish vendors?

Hey all, just wondering if anyone has a rough estimate of the age differential between snus ordered direct from Sweden vs. stateside warehouses. Or does this even matter (anymore) given supposed improvements in Getsnus/Northerner distribution?

Also, what's the printed lifespan of snus? 4 months? 6 months?

Haven't checked very closely but one that stood out right away
(probably because the back of the can wasn't plastered with a
warning label) is the Thunder Original Mini+...

    Best before: 02 jun 2011

Received from getsnus 03 sep 2010 from US warehouse

V2 seems to have longer dates than other companies. I imagine it varies by manufacturer.

Would you say there's little advantage from ordering from Sweden over US distribution?

I got somewhat burnt with my current can of General lös, it was very close to expiration and pretty dried out. Don't want to encounter something like that through stateside mail orders.

I don't know TBH. My instinct says that there'll be little difference ordering from one place or another. As long as the company's moving product, it should be fairly fresh. The best method is probably have people report here on the snus quality when they get it, or at least post poor snus quality. A pattern could be built up over time for different vendors, and snus freshness. I'm a little surprised at the General. A lot of people use that, and as long as it didn't come from a B&M, I'd expect to be fresh. Who did you get it from?

Sorry, I didn't make that clear. It was a B&M purchase.

I'm only asking because I want to explore other purchasing options without having to worry about old/expired snuff. And the posts here give me a better (brighter) picture of ordering stateside. Now to move to a state without ridiculous taxes...

B&M will be a crap shoot unless you find a store that really moves product. They're out there, but rare at this time. There just aren't that many people that use snus yet.
