Snus exchange & Paypal help needed

These may seem like a dumb questions and I may be a tad behind the times, But I want to put some snus on the exchange to sell or trade and want to know how I would be paid through papal.. do I have to set something up? and what?

I have a paypal account and have paid through paypal via my credit card on ebay and other sites, But have never received payment through paypal. How does this work? Today I just added My bank account and is now linked to my paypal account and I'm verified. I know if I log into my account with my e-mail address and send payment it is received by a vendor or person who accepts paypal, But how does it work when someone wants to send payment to me?

Do I need to set anything else up to receive payment from someone ?

What other methods do most of you use to pay one another on the exchange ?

Do you mail in a box, bubble envelope, envelope ?

Do I send the snus usps, 1st class, priority what ?

    Thanks for any help ......

Paypal is probably the easiest method to get payment. Someone needs only to know your paypal email and have a paypal account themselves. You will see the money near instantly as soon as they send it to you.

I mail stuff in a priority mail box you get for free at the post office... I highly don't recommend telling them its tobacco, even though you can send like 10 ounces under the PACT act if I remember right. Postal employees are under educated to say the least. A little bubble wrap inside wouldn't hurt. I seal mine inside a ziploc bag and then stuff it in the box with crumpled paper as filler.

    Edit to add:

If It is only a can or three, first class will be the best option, but priority gets there a day or two sooner, and may be easier on the snus in transit, so I always go priority.

I don't get down with the paypal but I almost always add tracking so you and the other person involved can both see the status of shipment.

Also, pick up some packages at the pose office and fill and address them at home. Tins of tobacco going into the box at the post office is not the way to go. They have cameras there.

Bubble envelopes are good bit make sure you don't bring cold packages into a post office because they will question the shit out of you. If you happen to have a long line behind you, are a charming sob and a nice older lady behind the counter who thinks the nanny state is bad for the economy you may get a large amount of ice cold snus into the system on one of the hotter days of the year.

If not, bring it room temperature.

That is all the advice I have.

I always mail by the cheapest method possible. There's no tracking or anything, but it'll get there when it gets there, which is about the same amount of time as the "faster" methods ime. I never considered the ramifications of taking a cold envelope to the post office. It's either cold because of winter, or instantly hot due to the obnoxious MD weather. That's worth keeping in mind though. Definitely don't pack at the post office.

I think PayPal has a minimum amount required to transfer to your bank account for free... not sure because I haven't done it myself.

+10 I've done numerous trades many by stamp handed to my carrier. If you take into account my carrier isn't here by 12 they always get there in 2-3 days. Paying extra for tracking and the temp thing is a total waste of money. There is as much chance of something getting lost with a tracking # as without. Also you have to realize that normal mail is taking the same plane 90% of the time as the express mail. It would make no sense for them to use 2 different planes if the express plane isn't full anyways.......

The only value in a tracking number is for security, but it's a false security. If you didn't trust the seller, a tracking number would let you know /something/ was shipped, but was it snus, or a weeks worth of tin can recycling? :^D

You won't be able to make an insurance claim, so it's all a risk. You just have to use your best judgment with your trading partners, and hope for the best. I've had a 100% success rate with my private trades so far :^)

Money added to your Paypal account will sit in that account until you do something. I'm not sure how to get money out; I've never tried. I don't have tons of cash going into Paypal, so I just use that when I make Paypal purchases. It get used up quick enough that way.

Once your signed in with your bank account linked to your paypal account hit transfer funds to bank account and put in the amount and chose which account you want it sending to.

takes about 3 to 7 days to clear.

looks like you can get a PayPal debit card for free (no yearly fees, so it appears) and you can use your PP balance immediately on that card.

might not be a good idea:

                            Requirements to Get the Card

There are several prerequisites to requesting a PayPal debit card. In order to request a PayPal debit card you must be a PayPal user for at least sixty days and must have a premier or business account. There is no charge to upgrade your account, but, unlike a personal account which can accept non-credit card payments free of charge, you will be charged the standard PayPal fee of $0.30 + 2.9% of the transaction amount to accept funds (both credit card and non-credit card) from other users. In addition, you must register a credit card with your account. The statement for this card must be sent to a physical street address, not a P.O. box. Finally, your account must be verified by linking it to your bank account.
