I voted Plain... De Plain... De Plain... From the review from lx back in January the description sounds like it would be an awesome new addition... unflavored tobacco, with hazlenut and chocolate notes...

Still undecided? Here's some people's thoughts on Gotland's Green. Imagine these reviews, but kicked up and in los format!

Has a very sweet taste to it, much like sour apple flavored candy. A very good anytime snus.

Of everything I've tried of Gotlands, the green is the one I keep going back to. Not as strong as American dips apple flavors, which is good.

Yup. Green Apple. This snus is probably one of my favorite of all of the regular portions. No... I think it just might be my fave. Although it is a regular 8mg nic portion, it has a lot of "meat" to it once you get past the initial green apple flavor. It keeps the flavor coming too.

I am drawn to this snus at least a couple times a day. It isn't an all day for me, but I enjoy it every time I have it. I would love to see this in lös.

The apple is great - not overstated. I've never tasted anything bad with this snus.

It's perhaps the most unique snus available, in my opinion.

It has a strong herbal flavor with a hint of green apple. If you have never tried it, it's worth a shot.

I forgot to mention earlier that this is my go-to every day portion snus. love it above all other portions.

I LOVE the green portion. The tobacco seems to swell over time making one look like a chipmunk. The flavor seems to be never ending and the taste is great - as others have said it reminds one of green apple but without the acidic aftertaste. Great portion, can't wait to try the los.

Not much to say about Plain los, but from two of us that have tried it...

I've been using the Plain for most of the day and I've found it to be more bold than Prima Fint. Granted, it's a very mellow, subdued, simple snus, I find this one does stand out a bit more than Prima Fint does. I like it because it's a no BS tobacco snus - very simple flavor. As it develops I can pick up earthy notes, mellow hints of chocolate, and a gentle salt balance in the back. I'm really liking this.

Plain... I'm liking this more and more as I use it. The flavor is VERY subtle. It's been awhile since I've had Göteborgs Prima Fint, but going from memory, the strength of flavor is similar to that. It has a slightly bready taste, with hazlenut and chocolate notes. Like all Gotland snus, it has a slight bitterness in the background, but curiously, it doesn't come off as bitter as some of the flavored snuses. Any of you who had the 2007 Kardus from Swedish Match, the flavor is similar to that. Absolutely unflavored tobacco, but of course with the typical Gotland grind. This is absolutely a snus I would buy rolls of. I'm not sure what the general appeal would be though. It's definitely not a newbies snus. It likely wouldn't taste like much of anything to someone who is new to snus, or particularly lös. I think this would be popular with tobacco aficionados...

Hold on there scooter..............don't kick me off the short bus..........I have had the Plain as well

Gotlands plain is probably one of the best handling snuses out there. It is easy to bake but not putty like Roda, Prima, or General. It is very coarsely ground (even more so than Grov) but it pack extremely well and is very hand bake/pinch friendly. If you are coming from dip, this will probably be the snus that comes the closest to behaving like dip.................but with all the advantages of snus.

As far as the flavor goes.................this is simply the best plain los I have tried. The Best...........that is why I have been pestering Jimmy constantly (sorry about that mate) to put it out there

Now as far as Prima is concerned........I do not find G.Pain anywhere near as mild as prima (which to this day I still cannot taste). I also do not get the mass produced taste from the Plain that I get from other snuses (especially SM products). If you have ever had Landstroms or Gellivare you may know what I mean. There is just something small batch, old school, and natural about those snuses. Whenever I finish a can of one and pick up say a SM snus I feel I've gone from enjoying something from the garden to ingesting some product from the office vending machine. The point is that GPlain has this exact same quality and Naturalness about it. However, unlike Gellivare or Landstroms (both of which I love) GPlain is not a challenge to handle and is over all a more balanced and well rounded flavored snus.

The flavor it self is a complex, rich, mid note tobacco flavor. There are no frills or candy coatings but this does not make plain.........well........plain......Right the opposite. It allows the blend of tobaccos to come through with all its subtlety and complexity. In turn the flavor is not over the top or obtrusively rich. It is just right for an all day go to snus.

Again, let me say.................. GPlain is one of................ if not the best..................... handling, tasting, balanced los snuses that I have had. And no I do not throw that accolade around loosely or in hypurboly............I mean it.

If you are ever blessed with the opportunity to try some..............you will understand why those of us who have it are so passionate to get it into your hands and back into our own.
