This isn't GN's fault...it's the FDA's fault. They require each manufacturer to file an application that proves the new flavor is substantially equivalent to one that's already on the market. Then the FDA has 180 days to "approve or deny" said application, BUT....the FDA has NEVER approved one of these applications to date and some companies have had products in the pipeline for over a year. This is their way of keeping new tobacco products or new flavors of existing products (including snus) off the market.
This being said, I do believe that they will have to begin reviewing these SE applications soon, due to increasing pressures from the BIG boys. Maybe then we'll see some of the new snus flavors being distributed here in the US.
