ShareSnusInfo - what is the recipe for Gotlands Yellow?

I'll come right out and say it. I want the recipe. You're not making the snus any more Jimmy, you don't need the recipe - so what is it?

It's obviously bergamot flavoured - when I smell a can of Gotlandssnus Yellow I smell the same kind of aroma as I do with J & H Wilson's S.P no.1 snuff. I feel like I have worked out the right kind of tobacco to use to get the flavour right - but I'm struggling with the flavouring oils - no bergamot oil I have ever bought has come close to the taste you got with your discontinued snus. Where did you get the oils from? And was it purely bergamot oil or a blend of other citrus oils with the bergamot?

We need answers to be able to still enjoy the best snus ever created on this planet now you refuse to make it. Please answer me - if you no longer want to manufacture this snus what can you have to lose?

    Cheers

    Squeezy

Squeezy! You got to be more subtle! Use soothing and comforting words, Like - Jimmy, you will never see your puppy alive again if you do not hand over the exact recipe by 6 pm tomorrow!..............Just sayin.

No Whalen - I don't believe that will work.

Fact is - if Jimmy denies us this knowledge then it will just confirm everyone's suspicions that Gotlandssnus has maliciously invented the best snus ever, got a load of people around the world hooked on it, then denied the public the ability to buy it and is now sitting on the recipe with the sole intent of making us suffer massive withdrawal symptoms.

C'mon Jimmy ... prove me wrong!

Not to worry Squeezy. Gots yellow is the exact same reciepe as Soylent Green except that you must use humans with jaundice.

        I thought everyone knew that.
Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of the people I killed because they were annoying......

I've been wrong lots of times.  Lots of times I've thought I was wrong only to find out that I was right in the beginning.

well i certainly understand your frustration, gotts gul is all that! But even worse, Jimmy made a small batch of green los last year and sent some out along with a yummy cinnamon los. Well i used the green for a little over a week and found it to be.......... get this.......the best freeking los I ever had! I mean it was perfect, i just smiled when i had some in, all fresh apple and goodness. Then................nothing...........no mas....finito.......just jaks. So, I am going to go ahead and pursue the never see your puppy alive approach if it's ok with you my brother...........

Whalen, I completely agree with you on the Cinnamon Los.

Ok - do we actually have his puppy hostage? In which case I'm in!

To me the best out of the group was the plain los with the burnt cinnamon pulling a close second.......that said any of the 4 (Gul, Green, Plain, Cin) would be in my regular rotation

But I am convinced it is a lost cause

Most do not realize how close we came to getting a preordered seasonal release. Northerner had agreed to run it as an exclusive at their shop and was talking to Gotlands about the details...............the first release was to be Gul.......(this was all right after Gra was discontinued)

but then it seems Gotlands pulled the plug on it (my hunch at the time was that it was Hans- not Jimmy- that pull the plug last minute)

At that point I gave up hope

Nothing we have done (including hand delivering pre-paid customers to their door) has seemed to work

We will not see a Gotlands los again until the current thinking at Gotlands changes.

Jimmy is a dear friend to this site and a master blender. I wish Gotlands all the best and hope that one day they will return their los offerings to the market

However, I will add...........that the level of effort and the prolonged time this campaign has been ongoing ought to speak a great deal about the customer loyalty and the high regard that many on this site (and beyond) hold Gotlands los
When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

It was with out a doubt the best snus on the market...i miss it dearly...like my best friend died. C'mon jimmy lets get a recipe so we can all have a little can of solace in a world gone wrong. I could use that snus only and be satisfied...i dont need anything else

Reading this thread brought back memories of the plain los sample I received from Gotlands. It was absolutely incredible. Sigh.

I too have given up on ever seeing this snus again beyond the few cans I have in my freezer.

Which is why I am asking for tips on how to try and recreate it myself.

So I will only add this ...

                          Please Jimmy ... Pretty please!
