By my calcs....mini is 25 mg each. 2325 divided by 25 is 93 portions. Also known as a shit load! That is 9 and a third cans ! And remember you do not ever deplete a portion totally.

Thanks heaps and heaps Whalen .... i really appreciate that

Somebody else needs to chime in here and double check me. Ten full portions a day is about 500 mg worst case.

Hope that helps.. Talk it over with your doctor.... I do not expect them to jump for joy, but beats smoking! Snus has kept me from smoking for almost 5 years now.

Oh just saw this post - that is even heaps better and if i was it under water first then that will reduce even more salt gone and if i eliminate a slice of bread a day maybe - then that would just about wipe out anything snus is doing to my adrenals. Really really appreciate your help whalen

Slice of bread is way worse for salt. I am assuming you are salt aware food wise? It is hidden everywhere.

Yes Whalen its in everything I have a slice of bread a day because i am weak and pathetic hahaha but i will sacrifice that for snus. I don't eat processed foods, everything has to be fresh and whole foods - my downfall is a slice of bread and the odd bowl of cereal.

It looks like whalen's already got this figured out for you.
His calculations look pretty accurate considering I have no idea how big a teaspoon is or mg's (stupid american)
Good luck. How is it possible to have no salt? It's literally in everything. I'm pretty sure its in my shaving soap.

By my reckoning - Whalen's calculations are right (I haven't done advanced mathematical analysis on them though)

But also reckon that there is no way you absorb all the salt in a portion unless you swallow it ... I haven't got any evidence for this but I have heard that you only absorb 5%-40% of the salt content in a portion or in loose snus.

I make all my own bread by the way - and am in the process of learning how to make my own snus too ... the more you make yourself - the more you stay in control of what you are eating! I like my snus salty in the Swedish traditional style so I make it that way - but it is not an absolutely essential ingredient although snus made with potassium chloride will be somewhat bitter and snus with no salt at all may have a considerably shorter shelf life.

I once got a few cans of incredibly dried out disgusting odens ginger/lime. Wished I had gotten a fresh can it sounded amazing but it was gone next time around. Anyways i doused that stuff in lime juice and salted the hell out of it. It came out quite good. I also like the salty taste to most things. Got a can of extra salty thunder frosted once that wasnt to my liking though. I find it adds more juiciness as the crystals dissolve leaving behind a sweet taste as well.

I wonder exactly how much total salt content is absorbed. Somebody has to know. I would think 50% would be the high limit, but I assume 100% just to be extra careful. Daily limit is 1200mg for me. But I have more trouble with rapid uptake of nicotine more than anything else.

Salt is in everything - i am not sure about shaving cream but lucky i am a girl hahaha i never add salt to anything and my salt count is ridiculously high - i only eat (for the most part) whole foods that i prepare and cook. I have to take double kalural to flush salt all to try and maintain potassium. I have just been 6 months in recovery from hitting 2.1 pottasium and being unable to walk or move - it was the pits - so salt is really really deadly for me and hard is in this world to avoid.

I'm sure there is an obvious answer to this. But wouldn't it be possible to just up your potassium intake, while still trying to avoid salt, to help balance things out?

Also I'm not sure where you live but northerner still has the northerner brand dry portions. I've never tried them and the ones i looked at appear to be out of stock at the moment. I can't be 100% sure but i believe they are low/no salt compared to the other brands. Again where your from may depend on if you can get it or not. I know northerner is in this really odd shipping thing because of laws
