The snuff tastes like coffee to me, the long cut is a bit sweeter IMO. They're both delicious, I just like them for different things.

I"m finding almost everyones take on cope quite strange. I always tasted cope and other straights as just straight tobacco. Some of the original/natural variations of grizzly and timerbwolf tasted more metallic but i never thought cope tasted like bacon or coffee. I think it's a great explanation on why people have different favorite foods.

These xtra crisp blends and everything else they've come out with in recent years is just rebranded crap. The crisp blend is just apple, the rich blend is just berry.

I used to get berry and cherry in the rich blend, and sometimes citrus and apple in the crisp.

Lemme clarify, I thought that the coffee/dark chocolate notes were more present in the snuff, while gold top was sweet-and-salty hickory notes. Both had that straight tobacco tast that has always made me think of leather.

You're probably right about the different tastes leading to different foods. I wonder if there's any research to support that.

                Speaking of Skoal X-tra...

It's a terrible cut of tobacco. Lots of stems in the can, but for the price when I want to dip, I can always grab a can of that and not take a hurting on my wallet.
