    Portion Machine

    Hello Snus Lovers-
We are an american company who are working on an alternative to tobacco snus.
Yes we LOVE tobacco but want to come out with something new and exciting.
We are looking at portion machines. Anyone have any info?

The German Mertz machine is $190,000
we found an Indian Machine for $30,000

    Can anyone advise?

    Thanks Snus family!

    Dear Americansnus,

I think you are vastly overestimating the level of our dedication to snus. It's one thing to enjoy a form of tobacco, quite another to consider investing $200,000 in a machine that only does one thing!

I make home-made snus, and can fill empty snus pouches made by Prillan using a cake-icing tool and some cheap hair straighteners. Total cost - about $40 ... it takes f***ing ages!

    Welcome to SnusOn!

I think that is a question one of the manufacturers would have to answer.

As for my 2 cents......I wish someone would make a legitimate American snus and then fool with the tobacco free alternatives second.

Anyway, keep us posted on what you are doing

I agree with snusdog, if you are gonna make an American snus, at least do a tobacco snus first before making a tobacco free one. And actually it wouldn't be that new, some Swedish snus brands make tobacco free snus, and there is already dip alternatives in America in pouches that you could basically use like a snus anyways. I'd say if your going to invest all that money into it at least make a tobacco snus first, it would probably be more successful than a fake snus anyways
