No Sterk with the US push?

So I know the guys are on vacation until September, but if I don't post now, I'll forget about it.

Talking about Generals U.S. push they've been making. Why was Sterk not included in the push? Now, this is just my opinion, but I could see a hell of a better market for Sterk as opposed to Loose. The only 2 cigar shops I've been to that sell it don't have icetools or prismasters anyways. People are having a hard enough time wrapping their head around snus in a pouch. Throw the loose out there and they'll just keep thinking it's chewing tobacco. Just my opinion.

So, why no Sterk?

It does seem like a stark portion would appeal to a lot folks... I wonder what the sales mix is in those tobacco shops for the five brands... My suspicion would be that the loose lagged, but who knows?

The ratio at the shop I went to last was like this:

Lots of loose left.
Lots of mini-mint left.
No Whites.
2 Cans of originals.
4 or so cans of wintergreen.

Was pretty annoying because out of those, I'd only use the whites and originals. So I drove 35 minutes to stock up on 2 cans. Lasted me the drinking weekend and that was it, hehe.

I just had my first stark today. onyx, was definitely a fine tobacco. like every other general product I've tried. I hope their push in the USA succeeds so that suppliers and variety of General products increase.

3 hour drive for nearest supplier to me, no matter I will happily continue mail ordering my share.

I think they would be a huge success. Sterks in the US -hell yeah!

I agree sterks should be included in the US push I like them very much! Plus regular general just does not have the same flavor as Extra sterk general!
