Joakim and Markus why don't you ship to Canada???

    Joakim and Markus,

Just wondering why Swedish match is too good to ship snus to Canada? On the Swedishsnus.com website it says the it prohibited in Canada?? We have snus, chewing tobacco and other tobacco products in Canada, but nothing as good as real swedish snus. Whats the reasoning behind this?

The samples can't be sent to Canada since we have laws against free tobacco in the mail.

On the other side, I really did wish they'd start selling snus here. However, its not an easy task. First off, tobacco advertisement is illegal here. Second off, you cannot display tobacco products in store. I do not believe this applies to tobacco specialists though, and could be provincial. Also, together with tobacco tax here, a can of snus would cost 12$ in store, one of the primary reasons du maurier went with the miniportions only.

However, word of mouth spreads quickly from the USA into Canada. If snus becomes a hit in the US, it'll be much easier for SM to sell it in Canada. I sincerely hope they consider selling it in Canada, if only for us to buy up their entire stock

$12 a can isn't really that bad. A 15 gram tin of dip is $16. A 35 gram tin is $30. There are people that will buy it no doubt.
