Swedish Match Limited Edition Please.

I really like Swedish Match products. Ettan, General, GoteRape, etc. I think it would be cool if Swedish Match would do a limited edition release, maybe a 5-10 can pack. This wouldn't be the same as the once per quarter Catch Collection, but a Limited Edition release of several new and exciting products in regular portions.

What would be really cool is if you did 10 cans, 5 portion and 5 los. That would be very unique.

It's a nice idea but it's hard to do and still be profitable.

That would be a nightmare in the supply chain. Your store fridges would need to have dedicated slots and in between releases you end up creating room for your competitors products.

Well we have Kardus around Christmas, I was thinking maybe a Spring or Summer release, with tobacco flavored with seasonal fruits/nuts/etc from that season, perhaps adding a little bourbon or something to some of them (take note not to make it taste like OR LE: Moonshine though)....something along those lines.

That would work also. I was thinking Xmas might make a good set for the poorer Swedes who can't afford Kardus, but a May Day set to welcome in summer would be nice also.

Limited editions are always fun and something we appreciate just as you do. Though while this would be neat it is, like Justin mention, sadly rather unlikely. The supply chain issue would be a major one. When also adding category and brand management well then the odds go slim to none. It is noted however that editions like Catch Collection and Kardus are appreciated (both will continue during 2010) and while doing multibrand editions honestly won´t happen a take away for us is to consider other editions as well.

Okay, I got it.

For the SM:LE, bring back some old flavors and mix it with some new flavors.

For example, N&J East/West/Los, and then add some new, special stuff, perhaps a Kardus (Lite, maybe)....something like that. You could charge whatever you wanted, I'd sell a kidney to get some N*J Los.
