I'd like to see a return of tin tops on the lös snus that's in paperboard tins. It's a classier presentation, and is much easier to recycle in the USA. I got some General a couple weeks ago, and one of the plastic tops was shattered during shipping. This has happened to a few people, but it wouldn't have been an issue if the tops were made of tin. I'm sure Swedish Match doesn't care what I think, but I'm putting this up anyway as my official suggestion/complaint :^D

lxskllr I think it all comes down to economics on this one. My guess is that the plastic is less expensive to make and thus they changed to it in the first place.
However the whole recycling thing is a good point. When it's my time to go, I want to die peacefully in my sleep, like my uncle did....... Not screaming in terror like his passengers

I think this is a good idea as well. If they wouldn't do it for regular production I would like to see them at least sell a high quality tin lid (or offer it for free with the purchase of a roll). Another thought might be to offer a special edition Ettan (or other brand) with tin lids once a year.

Re: Lös Snus Tops - Swedish Match
We're a consumer company so we naturally care. While changing the lids from the factory is a rather large decision we can definitely look into having some made for our online consumers. Sorry to hear that your lid broke. We'll look into how the shippings are beeing packaged.Originally posted by lxskllrI'd like to see a return of tin tops on the lös snus that's in paperboard tins. That is a good idea, to have a well made metal reusable lid, sorta like Copenhagen made, though I didn't like how their fancy metal lid had to be used to cover the existing lid that came with the can. I'd rather it just replaced the original lid, but Copehangen has a nice tin lid anyway, but in rgeards to the SM los cans, a nice metal reusable lid would be neat.

As someone who likes to freeze and refrigerate his suns, I'm wondering if a tin lid would cause any rusting issues, especially if the lids are only tin plated.
I also wouldn't mind seeing the paperboard cans go even though I love the feel of them, especially when full of snus. They seem to be more absorbent of odors (hasn't affected the flavor of any of my frozen snus so far) than plastic and the wax lining tends to shed a bit when scraping out those last bits of los.

by SnusOn.ComIt starts in the soil. Before someone even puts a seed in it, soil samples are taken to a laboratory in Sweden for analysis. Swedish Match experiments with cultivation in different countries to achieve the best possible raw tobacco. If declared a good soil for tobacco, seeds are planted and every step in the development and the cultivation of the plant is carefully ...
