    General Wintergreen Los??

    Markus and Joakim,

The idea of a General Wintergreen Los was recently brought up in another thread. As I am probably the worlds biggest fan of this product, I have to ask:
Do you see this as ever being a possible product made by Swedish Match? Have you ever entertained the thought of making a Los of this?

      These steps.
Create a snus longcut for the Americans and then the los.
Create a extremely low tsna product without sugar substitutes. If it is better then Grizzly in taste and possibly nicotine you will make a lot of money. This will open a lot of dippers eye's to the general products line and also pouches or a pinch of los when wanting to be more discreet.
The general recipe is excellent and the standard. It could compete with anything out there right now.

I think Ive tried just about everything, and just find nothing compares to GW for me. The only other one I use much is Thunder Frosted.

          So There. :P

This is the reason. America and Canada is the only place it grows.
Wintergreen likes acidic soil and grows in the woods of the U.S. and Canada (zones 4-7)

longcut general wg would be a hit in the US if it was comparable in price to grizz or a little bit higher

I don't do Wintergreen, but to be honest, I don't see why this isn't in production, especially for the US market, and the rate we use Wintergreen.

General Wintergreen "Longcut" snus (or at least just los) is one I'd buy rolls of.

I personally can't do the white portions although I enjoy the flavor.

My thought about why it's not available yet may lie in the machines to actually cut the tobacco. All of SM's snus is ground while American smokeless is cut. Since they don't have the correct machines in Sweden, this may be the reason why it hasn't been introduced.

But......since SM does produce Red Man here in the states, could it be possible to make it here or, send a cutter or two over to Sweden? 8) Just my $3.02! ($3 added due to PACT.....please sign at the bottom to receive this message, under penalty of law!)
