Long Cut

I think the General line should be available in long cut, specifically wintergreen, mint, and original.
I think more Americans would appreciate a loose snus that is manageable.

Actually, I think the business-savvy move would be to release a long-cut Grov or Ettan. Much closer to American dip in flavor.

You have to remember one thing with portion snus flavors; it's rare that the flavor will remain the same if turned into a loose or long cut. General Wintergreen's flavor for example, wouldn't be as strong or as sweet. Have you guys tried Offroad Long Cut Wintergreen? It's amazingly close in flavor and feel to Skoal Wintergreen! Offroad Wintergreen loose has the same flavor but ground instead of cut. Yea.........I have WAY too much time on my hands to try a lot of flavors! :lol:

I have not tried Skoal Wintergreen but did try a FREEBIE of Copenhagen Wintergreen which was good but on the sweet side compared to OFF WG Long Cut. I am a firm believer that sweeteners are the biggest culprit to American Dip and gum recession.

Offroad did have a regular longcut which I liked also but it vanished one day without warning. It tasted very similar to a longcut Phantom. A long cut THUNDER line would be awesome!

Any snus that is long cut sounds very good to me.

I mostly use Offroad American Wintergreen Long Cut and use it in my bottom lip, since most of the normal fine cut snus that I try to use in my upper lip keeps moving around which turns into a mudslide quickly..

I agree with the others. SM should offer some long cut. I really enjoy the flavors of your los but it turns to mud in a short amount of time. I find the offroad holds together better and gives no mud mouth. Even my dipper buddies wont touch my los anymore after trying out my Roda Lacket and going mudslide!

What was that old Offroad long cut Original like? That was before my snus time.

You should check out Kardus Limited Edition. It's long cut like dip but is meant to be placed in the upper lip like traditional snus. Its very expensive though.

I am vowing to get a box of Kardus this year. The price always turned me off but man I've read too many good things about it to let that get in the way anymore.

i liked kardus 08 more, it wasnt the same long cut as the 09. just had some 09 a little while ago. its dece.

This is a great idea. I would love to try a General longcut! I use the Offroad Wintergreen every day, but I miss the Original; mostly because of the plain tobacco taste which I tend to prefer. Even if regular General was all I could get, I would still make the switch.
