Is the FDA killing Limited Edition Snus in the US?

So, on texasmade's suggestion I was reading the PACT thread.

    When I found this:

Will our beloved manufacturers go through the hassle of doing this to release Limited Edition snus on the US market?

Or will they just require this sort of documentation from all of their suppliers going forward?

Once a company has issued several snus ingredient lists it should become easier for them. The FDA (and I'm not sure where I read this, but it's in there) says that some products if they are sufficiently similar to existing approved products would be allowed with the submission of just the differing ingredients. I will look for it sometime this coming week, but I'm sure I read it in PACT because I had a discussion about it that same day.

They could try, but there will always be ways. Smuggling my friends, for fun and profit!

Essentially, that's what the FDA and PACT are creating in order to gain some extra tax dollars and save us from ourselves and our terrible habits. They'll be taking a normal industry and creating themselves a lovely black market to try and penetrate. I don't mind going outside the approved channels to get my Kardus, as long as the premium isn't too bad.

I vow that i am getting Kardus next year. I really wanted to try it the last two years but being so close to Christmas I didn't pull the trigger. Next year i am getting it even if I have to have someone smuggle it in from Sweden.

There's a few people here and there that have Kardus up for sale/trade - you might put a "looking for" in the Exchange thread.

One thing that's been confusing me: Correct me if I'm wrong, but how hard would it really be to submit an ingredient list? Every can I've ever bought or even seen has the ingredients listed right there on the label.
Also, if Swedish snus companies are being forced to list ingredients, what about RJR and PM? Are these guys being forced to tell the Feds about all the shit their throwing into American snus?

You have to be more specific than "flavors" with the list submitted to the FDA, and that ingredient list won't be shown to consumers, so it's useless to us. American companies have to give ingredients to the FDA also. I think they already did due to past legislation, but I may be wrong about that.

Since many companies are getting the FDA ok, it must not be that hard to do.
