Yes, that's the plan. PA, NJ, NY, KY and working on other areas. I'm sure announcements will be forthcoming

I don't think it will fly just yet. There just isn't enough demand. The Norhterner may sell a boatload of snus, but that's predominantly because we are freaks who buy quantity. Their aren't enough snusers in America just yet, to buy enough snus on a regular basis. As far as I'm concerned that's just fine. I really don't want snus to get popular for selfish reasons.

How much demand do you really need?

If they survive the post-PACT sales crunch, when we all wake up on 30 June and find that UPS is still shipping, so we start snusing our stashes for several months/years (and I don't think survival is a foregone conclusion), then the distribution business would just be several more customers (hopefully more quantity), a different price sheet, and easier shipping right?

Well IMO the problem is that snus is perishable. If it had a long shelf life it would be a different story. But things being what they are, you need a high turnover to make it logistically possible.

Swedish snus has a longer shelf life than, American dip. I don't see that being a problem at all. The problem will be educating the tobacco using American public in a post PACT/FDA era, but it can and will be done. I'm surprised to actually hear you say that you don't want Swedish snus to be successful in the US brick and mortar market. Wouldn't it be better for American's? Wouldn't you like to go down to your local store and buy your favorite flavors of Swedish snus at a reasonable price? I know I would....I'm just sayin, lol

The problem here is that post PACT, the reasonable price part is fantasy land.
You can count on retail level snus in the USA being $6.00 or more from here on out.

This is also proof that our elected officials don't really care about the health of citizens. If they really cared they would adjust the tax to reflect that swedish snus is the least harmful tobacco product on the market. Lower the tax on SNUS to steer users of other forms of tobacco to this less harmful one.

It helps that the American brands are raising snus awareness of snus, I for one revisited Swedish snus, in part, because of this. The key then is to be able to market beyond that to the cig and dip users. I could see a gradual rollout with local targeted marketing support being effective, but they are fighting big money too so..
