Yea, no kidding. I love Gotland's Julesnus. It isn't something I like all year, but it's perfect around holiday time.

Regarding your wood tin. I think you'd have to line it with metal or plastic so the wood doesn't absorb all the moisture from the snus. I think it's very doable though, and you don't need a screw top. I don't know what you have in the way of woodworking skills(mine are few), but if you went with the traditional coffin shape(Landströms), that would ease a lot of the technical problems. You do do a slider top like is on Patrick Collin's snuff boxes(also on head shop merchandise), or various clips and clamping mechanisms. For a round tin, you could have a single screw pivot in the top edge, and have the slid rotate in a partial tongue and groove formation on the tin body. There's a bunch of ways you could make a nice tin out of wood.

Dingle Berrie flavored snus. Sad thing is Im sure there is someone out there that would try it. Like those people that drink coffee that has been through the digestive tract of the Luwak. (shudders)

I was thinking that a thin lining of paraffin like los cans are lined with would do the trick. But depending on the wood one could moisten it with their favorite spirit to add a little flavor or let the wood absorb the moisture of the snus and it could enhance the flavor of the snus. Kinda like how breaking in a pipe will eventually season the pipe with the tobacco thats smoked the most in it. Heck one could put a light char on the inside like a whiskey barrel. Not sure if that would do anything for the snus as long as didn't effect it in a bad way.
Interesting ideas though. Especially making one similar to the nasal snuff boxes. Heck if you made a round tin and had those sliding lids you mention you could also make it so the lid is split into two different pieces so that you could have a two compartment snus box. Think Ying Yang symbol. The only thing is that if a person was making these they would have to be careful and make it so they weren't to heavy. I have done some wood working and when you get to the point of the wood being thin as it would have to be so it would be light and still able to hold sufficient snus they might be fragile as all get out.

Every time I see Mr Hankey I cant help but think of a girl I used to work with. Dont ask. But let me say no one in the shop I work in could look at her the same after this incident and you hated to go into the bathroom after she did! Howdy ho!

Interesting ideas regarding the wood. I especially like the idea of adding whisky to the box.

I had mentioned previously the idea of cover stickers. Perhaps someone could
make an assortment of cover stickers in stacks of 100 for cheap. Or something
                      along this line.

Same here. Problem is The Northerner only has the portion model in
the Swedish Warehouse and it won't let me complete the order.
It asks me to remove it just as if I try a snus order from their Swedish
                          Warehouse.

The above can is a Swedish Match can, General Mint. The warning is on the side of the can and on the catch lid. This was done by SwM.

The two cans on top are Olde Viking (Original). They have a warning label put on by Northerner. (it has their SnusDistribution.com link on it).

The bottom one is Offroad Frosted from V2, and their warnings are done as part of the label now, I believe.

I could live with the warning on the lid, but the side panel warning is going too far. I guess I'll be de-stickering all my post FDA tins. For SM lös, I'll have to transfer it to old Gotland tins. I have some inkjet bumper sticker kits. I don't know how well they work, but I'll try printing my own stickers for the Gotland tins.
