Hello all,

After batting around the idea of coops between one other for ever, I've finally decided to bite the bullet and make our first! Here is how it will work.

Two-week order period: you have two weeks from this Saturday to PM me an order. Any snus that is out of stock will be stricken from the order. I will try to PM you if snus is out of stock.

Before I have placed the order, I will post a copied image of my shopping cart, so everybody will see the exact amount they will owe. Then I will allow a few days for edits of the order.

Payment will work in two steps. After the order in finalized at the end of the two weeks, people will pay me for just the snus they have ordered. I will not ship until I have received payments from all members. Payment should be made via a paypal personal order. Then, after I have shipped the snus, I will divide up the shipping costs evenly between all participants. I will then post the remainder due from each participant, on this thread. Each member will then pay me for shipping. I will ship via the cheapest possible US postal service method, with tracking and signing, so I can verify that you have received it.

For reliability's sake, I will ship via snuscentral. Please make note that because of the two week period, discounts on snuses due to specials may not carry through the end.

Just a word of advice... a separate group should be created for this and membership to that group should have some limitations and restrictions. I don't think an open public forum is the place to discuss this. Just like the mods have their own group, a coop group needs to be formed and members screened. JMO.

Paypal restricts the use of their service for tobacco transactions.

I've mentioned this before and if you think they aren't watching us you are wrong. I've talked to them on the phone for more than an hour. While they were very nice on the phone they are very firm on this issue. They know snuson so well they enjoy the antics on the site and have favorite members. Paypal has all the money and resources in the world to make sure their TOS are not violated. You will lose your paypal account. No matter if its a personal payment or not...because they know who is who and personal info on the members on this site. If they had their way they could care less. Their strict policys are do to some agreement they have with some outfit that they have agreements with. Its for the children you know.

There....I warned you as I was encouraged to do by Paypal .....so I could keep my account and so you can keep yours as well. I am not the only member that has had to deal with Paypal in this regard. They pretty much have zero tolerance with this issue. Good luck

Payment issues aside...its a hell of a lot more work to do this than you can imagine. I know quite well, and for me once I sell off my stock I will only be doing special orders for my friends that need help getting snus. Yea its not worth the bother but is worth helping out a friend. The best payment method is by MoneyGram or Western Union [hefty fee for the buyer] and the receiver needs to go to a location to pick it up...you can also take payment sometimes by cash or usps money order by snail mail...but absolutely not Paypal.


personally, if you can find a way to pay that's more reasonable thats MoneyGram or Western Union and you don't mind doing a lot of work packing, shipping and record keeping, standing at the post office. I wish you all the best....keep in mind that usps raised their shipping rates quite a bit not long ago and I think when you put all the numbers together you won't be saving much and its just not going to be worth the hassel for any one to do this. I wish I was wrong but I've spent a lot of time figuring this out and I don't see any real savings. However, if a members simply cannot get snus because of location or whatever... it can work....but is more expensive for the buyer than dealing direct with the vendor.

yea that's easier but the person receiving the checks has to cash them or deposit them at his bank. If he get audited by the irs then he has to prove it wasn't actual income. When you tell them about the tobacco co op them the will really look into it.

USPS money order is the way to go with members in the usa. They are cheap....they only problem with them is that nowadays the clerks at the post office never have much cash in the drawer to cash the money orders.....which leaves you back to cashing or depositing them in your account.....which gets you back to the previous problem.

Why couldn't I have gotten addicted to crack instead? I can drive to Sacramento, flash my high beams at night and have people jumping out of the bushes trying to sell it to me. Much easier than trying to get a tin of snus. Cheaper shipping as well.

Which "crack" are you referring to? The smokin crack or the smokin gals crack....I hear you can get either kind in Sacramento using the method you described.

If are you Columbian?? I think I heard somewhere that they have somewhat of a co-op for crack that can be smoked.

Pop money is easy to join and less fees. But for a coop to work the best all participants should be members of PayPal in good standing. I think the numbers will be too low to justify this fabulous fabulous idea. We should be doing this for a looong time now. There are several snus forums. Maybe someone has the numbers already. Worth looking in to

I really don't like the idea, especially on an open forum. If /I/ were to do it, It would be over Tor or i2p, and all communication would be gpg encrypted. Key exchange could be done here via pm, so you have some idea of who you're talking to. Not foolproof, but makes the easy fruit harder to pick.

Bitmessage may be a decent way of communicating. It's not trivial to setup, but not terribly difficult either. Anything chosen will require some learning, but if we want security, things have to be done differently than they have in the past.
