Bought A Vacuum Sealer To Store My Stash & other info

I just bought a Foodsaver V2240 vacuum sealer to seal my stash up for the freezer. It works really well....so far. I also sealed some old "Its a Girl and Its a Boy" cigars from when you grandkids were born, some macaw heads and a full body macaw carcass. I'll be sealing some killer herb tomorrow. My wife is next.

If someone out there thinks therre is a better sealer available in the $100 rage let me know. I did alot of research and felt this was the best one for the $. But I'm still open to suggestions as I can still return this unit. Let me know.

I'm thinkin that tex and lazer might find this machine somewhat erotic, but I'm not sure how it could be put to that use.

I have a vacuum sealer somewhere I wouldn't mind using, but I'm not sure what I did with it. I found the bags, but the machine is in the basement somewhere I guess. I didn't have much use for it before I started snus :^D

You highly suggest you fish it out and use it for your long term [PACT]snus storage. The standard bag hold 3 rolls of snus side by side perfectly. I was really impressed. This thing really sucks.....the air out of the bags.

I was most impress when I cut a 4 1/2 foot bag and stuffed a complete Hyacinth Macaw carcass in there, sealed him up, and tossed him back in the big chest freezer out in the facilities. I figure vacuum sealing this bird gives me an additional two years to find a buyer that wants to find a taxidermist and mount it. I already have a bunch mounted already so this one is for sale.

When I was a young lad I put a vacuum cleaner on my dick. Lets just say that wasn't a pleasant experience. Pretty much a reverse circumcision ops:

The worst thing I ever put on mine was Ben-Gay. Yeah, that's totally joke-worthy, but I'm very serious when I say it ain't a suitable lube, unless you're really into pain.

That would be a "Hot Rod" indeed.

I just got the FoodSaver T000-08004 because we recently got a substantial portion of a cow. It did prompt me to order another motherload of snus and I'll seal that up nice.
I think oxygen is probably the worst thing for the snus so with this method it really would last forever...and probably even better w/o the cans, but I think I'll keep them in the cans.

I'm thinking now of making 5-can variety packs...hmmm

I got all my snus stash sealed up real good. I got some bird parts sealed up real good too. I just got finished sealing up another type of stash that I am saving long term. And man was it smelly. I brought it in from my outdoor hiding place last night and had put it on my desk in my bedroom. Although it was sealed in ziplock freezer bags I had to take it out of my room so I could get to sleep last night. Boy that stuff is skunky. I love the smell but I couldn't get to sleep with it in the same room.lol. Anyway the smell can't escape now. Even Rin Tin Tin couldn't sniff it out now.

Man, I really should invest in one of those. Been thinking about it for years now.

Yea, I kept putting it off too. But I'm really glad I made the leap. Bags are kind of expensive but if you make them big enough you can reseal them after you open them. Of course any that you open then empty can be reused.......as long as the contents are too messy.
The sealer is quick and easy to use. IMO a very good investment.

I even sealed up some regular tobacco and some gum "its a boy, its a girl" cigars that I passed out when my grandkids were born. Someday I'lll give the cigars to my gkids.

I have no doubt that vacuum sealing new, sealed tins of snus will last for years in the freezer.

You totally talked me into it so I decided to get one. I got on the internet to order one but somehow I ordered 2 pounds of pipe tobacco instead. Now I'm thinking about ordering 8 more rolls of snus. Oh well vacuum sealer on hold again LOL

I sealed over 120 cans today mostly in flat variety six packs. Pain in the ass. I got the bags on a roll and have to create a seal before sizing and cutting a bag. Then fill her up and magic marker the date. Voila.

I experimented with different quantities and orientations in different sized bags. I figure mixing loose and portion (mostly strong portions) in lots of six gives me the best flexibility to store and use. I left enough room to open a pack and take a couple cans out and reseal it.

I labeled all the packs, and even added some liquid to my really old loose snus so it will come back to life when I open it. It all stored fairly well and didn't really take up more room than the cans did by themselves.

I figure I'll force myself to get down to one can before breaking into a vacuum pack. Then I can either remove two and reseal, or rotate a fresh delivery into the used bag. Either way it was pretty fun. Now I don't have to worry about my stash going bad before I get to it.

Will be a long while before I get into any of these vac pacs. I filled up my General spring load dispensers (20 cans) left one roll out for work, and have 11 cans currently open. Then I have some of the Ooph stuff I'm not going to bother sealing and some Kardus and a snuX tub.

I may work on my SnusX bucket. Make up a few batches and toss them into a vac bag sans snus can to see how they come out with the vacuum forced infusion.

In the mean time I'm going to be content in my snus stash, plow through my Kardus, and see where things are in November when I estimate being back down to around 20 cans.

100 vac sealed. 20 in trays, 12 cans out, 14 cans at work, 2 Kardus tubs, and a snuX bucket. About 150 plus cans of snus. Hope it lasts long.

I'll quit before I pay more than $4 a can delivered. If Pact is what they say it is than I am not done ordering really. I'll squeeze in a few more rolls of my favorites and get a couple mixed rolls just for shits and giggles.
